Just ordered 765 G-6 and the 5 in 565. Nippon 105 shafts. 565 line is to bulky for me to look at but had no problem with the 5 iron and it's numbers where to good to pass up. Flushed the 765 6 iron otherwise I would've maybe snuck that in the bag too. Gaming Ping I e's now but the Strixon's looked and felt much better. Only one session but the 765 6 iron was going further then my ping 6. I wasn't looking to change irons but the look feel and performance of the Strixon's couldn't be ignored.

I haven't held the 65s, but I've used the 45s for a while. If you hit towards the toe, or if the 745s offset bothers you, the 65s might be the way to go. They're also a bit thinner on the top line. I can't really see how much better then can be than its older brother..

I've had the 65s in my cart numerous times and those are the reasons I can't pull the plug

If people would choose on performance and looks; Srixon will be huge. But they need to still establish their brand here for equipment.

These look great! I agree that the stock shaft and grip are great moves. They should also follow what they did prior and keep a no upcharge list of shafts.

From the pics they just look to have a little more toe weight, a little more chrome and visually toned down VT sole. I can't wait to hit them to compare to my 45s and check out the new RTX wedges.

You can get any steel shaft at no up charge! This was confirmed by Srixon on Twitter

Yeah, I priced out a few sets with KBS FLT, PX LZ, DG AMT, and DG Tour Issue and the prices didn't change. Nice touch by Srixon.

I take it no Oban steel or Shimada? haha.

Woah, no upcharge on Tour Issues? That's an impressive list with many new shafts.

Any list of graphite or other up charge shafts for Srixon 2017?

mtex22,

Congrats on the new irons. They look great. Quick question. Did you play the J15 CBs? And if so how do they compare? Thanks.

I played the j15CB's with DG Pro for a while and I would say as long as the J15's but lower ball flight and tighter dispersion for me. I really like the long irons. Again I absolutely nutted a 5 iron today further than I ever have. Different feel more dense. Both excellent heads and you can't go wrong. I just wanted Modus 120 and they came stock in these so no brainer.

Anyone try the new woods? Z565/Z765 or Z765 limited drivers

How are you liking the Modus 120s? I have them in the 745s in X and the combo feels so explosive.

Agreed the modus have a nice kick to them and paired with this head can produce some amazing feel/performing shots. Awesome combo!! Nice stock shaft offering Srixon!! Now what wedges and woods?

How easy and forgiving are the 3 and 4 irons?

If they are anything like the 945 3 and 4 iron, I consider them the easiest long irons I've ever played. I kicked my cally apex hybrid 4 out of the bag but kept the sldr 3 since it has become my wood on most courses.

Haven't hit the 7s, but the 9s are just top tier in that regard

Got an email JUST before I left the office to go golf this afternoon. Stopped in at the post office and picked up my set of 5-P 765s. Went straight to the course and hit about 5 balls on the range before putting them into play. Had a rough round with the driver and putter today, but REALLY enjoyed the irons!

I used to use a 5 iron for my 180 yard shots. My MP 32s were shorter and I was having to use a 4 iron to get that distance. On the 18th par 4, I hit a bad drive right onto a little hilly lie in the crappy rough/bare ground. I was left with 175 yards over a bunker, then a long pond that stretches about 100 yards, followed by another bunker in front of the green. Launched a 5 iron and actually put it over the back of the green.

Lofts are stronger than my MP32s. Still they give great confidence at address, and feel great when you nut one. I mishit two shots and had only a little loss of distance.

Can't wait to go practice with them and then play again. Oh, and they are sexy!

Love the post office straight to the course!! My favorite thing to do lol

I agree I too have hit some absolute tattooed long irons with these things. The long irons really shine in this set!!

Happy to see this:

Looks like the AW in the 565 matches the set, but the 765 looks more blade like than the rest of the set. Seems like they did the same thing with the 745's on the AW. Can anyone comment on whether there is actually that much difference between the 745 AW and the rest of the set?

Also, for anyone that has owned the 745's and tried out the 765's, have you noticed any difference in turf interaction between the two? (curious about the newer VT sole difference)
