I think we should all sit tight and wait for some releases after the first of the year. Even a couple of months into the new year, but I for one cannot wait until Bridgestone releases their Tour B-XD glued hosel drivers. I think many here will be checking those out!

Speaking of the Bridgestone Tour B-XD drivers. I still play a Bridgestone J40 driver with the glued hosel. Have tried most every offering out there and have yet to find one consistently take it out of the bag. Does any one have and information as to when these drivers will be released for the US?

Word on the street is late Feb or March 2017. I am assuming that we will get to see some in hand pics from the PGA show the end of January...by the grace of this wonderful website!

Best looking and sounding driver of 17 will be the 917!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... Best sounding driver I have hit for 2017 is the Epic (Haven't hit the TMAG 2017 models yet though)

917 is traditional, very Titleist and uninspiring in my opinion.

If the 917 had 7-8mph more ball speed and sounded softer it would be a different story... but it doesn't.

That's the point, traditional all day long. The epic will be about as epic as the extreme was extreme from 2013.

The benchmark in 2016 was clearly the M1/M2 series. Rick Shiels already did a comparison of the 2016/2017 models and the launch monitor data was basically identical. So if there are big time performers out there it sounds like the bench mark is the same as last year and that's what they'll have to beat.

Side note someone mentioned the F7+ as a dark horse earlier in this thread. That driver apparently has a dead zone when hit low on the face which will probably hurt its chances in any greatest driver of 2017 challenge.

At this point everyone is just waiting on the Epic, otherwise I don't think any other brand is coming up with a drastic enough technology change to catch up to TM this season.

I'm just another weekend golfer, but I think ANY driver you see on ANY Professional Tour is a great club......You can't go by what player is using what driver.....I can hit any of them well, if I'm swinging decent.......Bottom line is confidence, and whatever gives you the most confidence is the BEST driver for YOU!!....Period.....

I agree that the M2 was a big hit (no pun intended) in 2016, I think the right shaft fitting would help any clubhead to performs that much better...I am hoping to get my hands on an M2 head since I love my driver shaft (Rogue Silver 125 msi 60 TX)

Just got fitted from my M1 430 with same shaft as you to the 2017 M1 460....shaft in the new head was even better than before.

Funny, I put it on an old SLDR TP head that was sitting in the basement for over 2 years, and now it has kicked the RFX out of the bag, just yesterday we had a weather anomaly here in VA and was able to play, it is very consistent for me, nice penetrating cut with plenty of roll...

Was wondering what happened there? You were smacking the Callaway so far/well in the Trials, figured it would be a permanent fixture.

How's retired life BTW? : )

We are still supposed to tee it up when you are back down here ya know.

Ha ha, retired life is pretty good, I still have the RFX it's only taking a break, the SLDR combined with the Tour shaft is really working for me right now, I've been playing it for a few months, it has helped my scores lately, I just hope is not the honeymoon phase and it stays a while, otherwise I'll just use the shaft on the RFX...hope everything is going well with you and your family.

Another vote for the 2017 m1 460. M1 distance and workability with m2 forgiveness (and I have the 2016 m2, 2017 m2 and 2017 m1 460 while have hit the 440). It gives maybe a couple mph ball speed over the 2016 m2 with similar dispersion, at least for me.

I hated the Xtreme name but it was by far the longest driver of 2013 for me and many others. Pretty sure some other sites and reviewers listed it as their longest of test as well.
