Not a chance, and I was once a huge Tiger fan. He just can't compete with the Dustin Johnsons and Jason Days. You see the 602 yd hole (7th I believe) where JD and DJ hit to 10 ft. on their 2nd shot and Tiger had to lay up? His putting is still strong but still late and pushing right and doesn't have the distance or endurance these younger guys have. Almost sad to see but is reality - we all get older!

I have this same issue these days with the driver! How do you correct this?

Just saw highlights from his round today...obviously Tiger is very tournament rusty. He was all over the map today...shot 4 over and had a bunch of up and downs. Would love to see him find it and mix it up with the young flat bellies (and I'm not a Tiger fan)

If I remember correctly, Ben Hogan had a saying, "you gotta dance with the one that brung ya".........meaning, if it's going right or left, then play for it. Apparently Tiger is not a follower of that assessment. It looks as though he's fighting his swing and trying to regain his old form, After injuries and repairs and age creeping up, sorry it just ain't gonna happen. IMO, he needs to really re-assess his outlook on his swing and body and hopefully back off and swing smoother and perhaps adjust shafts accordingly. I fear if he does not, we just may see a forced retirement due to another injury.

When Tiger was on top of the world I thought he was an arrogant Word not allowedhole. If not the greatest ever, a very close #2. Because I did not like his "comportment" (for lack of a better word) on the course, I did not want to see him break Jack's record. I still don't.

I'll give the man credit for trying it again at this stage. He either is delusional about his game, or he is more of a gamer than I ever thought. I hope it's the latter. I hope he stays healthy enough and interested enough to keep at it and give himself a chance to be competitive again.

Just catching some of the golf, there is something really strange about Tiger's follow through when he hits driver.

Maybe he should have started at a less demanding setup. 7700 yds, wet, thick rough, not an easy opening round. Oh, and those man eating poa greens, the horror, the horror.
