Also if anyone doesn't like the G30/G drivers' sound, try to get 4-5 cotton balls in there. It totally changes the sound/feel of the club. LOVE the way my G30 sounds now.

On the LS, I just unscrewed the back weight and there is a hole where the screw goes in that I jammed the cotton balls down. I'm not entirely sure if the other versions have a similar weight, but I'm pretty sure they do. Totally changes the sound/feel, couldn't recommend it enough.

According to the rumors, smaller head for higher swingspeed, bigger face and no drop off in forgiveness.

 

If the patent drawings hold up should have a honeycomb type look on the crown (I.e a bunch of circles).

PING is all about forgiveness. 400cc isn't probably going to be a thing.

I've tried a few more current drivers compared to my G30 (2017 M1 and M2, Cobra drivers) and the forgiveness of the Ping is completely unmatched. If you can get over the head size/look there is nothing out there more forgiving.

Yeah and Ping does not play around...$5 discount can get your acct pulled. I have been elated with LS Tec and for the money don't think I would glance at new $400 club.

PING is all about forgiveness. 400cc isn't probably going to be a thing.

 

If anyone can do it; it would be Ping.

 

The nike tw speed at 420cc is very forgiving. If anyone can make a 400cc driver forgiving i'd trust Ping could do it. (i'm also hoping :) )

If PING can roughly keep the front-to-back dimensions (and face size) of a 460cc driver in a 400cc package I don't see why they couldn't retain the MOI of their current offerings. Could pick up some significant swing speed as well if the 400cc driver is aerodynamically sound.

I have a Rapture 3 wood that's under 300cc's and that thing can be hit anywhere on the face and get a good result. PING doesn't need 460cc's to make a forgiving driver.

Do you people understand how little of a difference 20-60 cc's really is? There will be no driver with a smaller footprint, same size face as current G, with same MOI and forgiveness. It will not happen. Those elements conflict. Now they may tweak things here or there. Sacrifice some MOI for a smaller look or face size for more aerodynamics.

 

I am as big of a ping fan as any on here, but if they drop a driver touting what you want they have merely joined the marketing hype machine to keep up with the Jones's.
