That whole Mac MT line from 2008 was the most complete top-to-bottom line of clubs made by anybody imho. Got the Driver, 3-wood, hybrid, Pro Cs in my back up bag and still game the Bobby Grace DCT Captiva putter. Regret never being able to get hold of a new set of DW wedges.

I've been playing them since December, and have no reason to look elsewhere. I hit the 3's and 5's, for me it's the nippons that made the difference, the heads seemed identical to me. I stopped at the 5 iron and on a good strike with a urethane ball it never ends up far from the ball mark. I have never gotten compliments on the course before, now people compliment the sound of a good strike and the spin they produce.

I never thought Founders Club irons got the attention they should've. I have no idea about their current offerings though.

I had a set of Founders Club Judge Strong regret letting them go!

Agree with all the Cobra better players/forged lines. They're great. I've had my AMP Forged for years and have no plans on changing them. I got them a year after they came out and was testing them against the 712 AP2's. They felt just as good as the AP2's, were a tad longer, and more consistent for me. The biggest difference was the AP2's were selling for $1000 for a set when the AMP Forged cost me $450. Easy choice (especially since orange is my favorite color so that wasn't a deterrent). Best choice I've ever made club wise.

I'm going to go for the Dunlop Tad Moore blade from c2003 ... not a forged iron, but very high quality nevertheless, using Carpenter Steel alloy ... which is apparently quite expensive.

 

Dunlop as a brand has pretty much zero street cred these days, probably even minus :) , but a set of these is well worth a look if you happen across them on eBay or elsewhere.
