For those of you that have ordered/received sets lately can you share how long it took from time of order to ship? I'm thinking of ordering a set and just wanted to get some idea of how long I have might to wait. Also, wondering if the price drop might cause an increase in orders and shipping time.

Wondering this same thing as I have a fitting in a couple weeks

Curious as well. Mine were supposed to be here yesterday but haven't shown yet. Hoping not much longer as I am currently sitting without clubs since I sold my Mizunos already.

Ordered mine on 5/15, shipped on 5/21, and should be here Friday, 5/25. I live in Atlanta and ordered with Modus 105s in green dot. Not bad at all.

Order went in today. Fitter said they could arrive by end of next week. Price is nice — I ended up adding the 4 iron. Went with 4-U, DG 120 stiff, power specs, plus 1/2 inch in length, so green dot and will play 1.5 degrees upright. With the 1/2 inch the wedges are the same length as my Nike VPC wedges.

Will be happy to update when I can! The DG 120 was excellent in two testing sessions. Accurate and long. And I got better with it the more I hit it. I hit a bunch of shafts and kept changing every 10 balls. DG 120 stood out and the fitter noted my numbers and smash factor got better every time I tried it vs lighter shafts. I don’t have any doubts about it. I know it will perform well.

First round with the new i200's. OK, no beating around the bush. These are not forged Mizuno blades. Having played Mizuno's for over 10 years, with my previous set being MP-5's, I am going to miss the buttery softness. I wouldn't call the Pings harsh, or "clicky", but they are not soft. I'd say they are firm, but not hard.

I warmed up with a small bucket of balls, and the clubs were definitely getting the job done. 'Nice mid flight with a slight draw. I had the irons bent 1 degree weak, and I'm thinking I might need two degrees. Well struck shots were obviously higher, but my miss is a bit thin, resulting in a low bullet. I thought the added mass lower in the club would really get the ball up. Still, I'm not unhappy with the ball flight. Misses on the toe were excellent, losing very little distance. 'Much better than the MP-5's. I believe I gained 5 yards. It's likely due to the XP 95 shaft, and the 1 degree stronger lofts vs. the 5's. No complaints there either.

On the course the clubs performed well. I had a few shots come up short, which were headscratchers. I believe the clubs don't have the same level of feedback as the 5's, as I felt that I had hit the shots solid.

Overall I'm pleased with the clubs. It's obviously going to take a few rounds to get them dialed in. At no point did I look down at them at address and think, "Ugh. I made a mistake". Yes, they're bigger than the 5's, but they're not overweight SGI clubs. I think they have a gook look at address for a players/GI club. We'll maybe the PW needs a little weight loss. I'll see how it goes, but I wouldn't be surprised to see me looking at an iBlade 9i and PW at some point.

I think with time you will develop a better sense of feedback. The i200s are never going to feel like a muscle back blade, but they have a very gratifying sound/feel in their own right that grows on you with familiarity. I especially like the way these go through the turf. The sole design is very forgiving... handling all types of lies and attack angles with ease.

There is no bigger problem then being a club ho AND having access to Rodger Dunn stores where they have plenty of used sets and a generous 90 day return policy (which I have admittedly abused the hell out of).

I had picked up a set of i200s with the Modius 105 shaft (red dot) and played a couple rounds with them. I liked it but could not get over the cost and what I perceived as a lack of forgiveness.

After returning them (and bouncing between a couple of different sets) I happened to come across another set of i200s with the stock AMT shaft and orange dot (which suits me because I am vertically challenged). They were nearly half the price of the first set I had so switching back to the i200s was a no-brainer since it came along with a nice store credit.

Played a round yesterday and after nearly holing out twice (once with a PW from 130 and the other an 8 to a 155 flag from the rough) I feel like I might have finally found a winner.

My only "issue" is hitting the 5 iron. Need to work on that one a bit more since I can only seem to hook it.

One other note - I switched a while ago to the Ping Glide 2.0 wedges (54* and 58*) and this set came with the U wedge. I think that the U works perfectly since I mainly stick to my Glides for shots around the green and use the Gap primarily for full shots.

If you haven't checked out the Glides I highly, highly recommend them. Best wedges I've ever used (and I've tried them all).

I absolutely love my i200s. My absolute favorite iron set was the s55s. They were perfect for me when I was playing a lot. The past two years/year and a half, my time to play and practice has gone down significantly. When my swing is on, the s55s were perfect. But if I was off, it put a lot of pressure on my short game. The i200s have been absolutely perfect for the amount of time I have to practice and play now. They look and feel great too. I honestly don't see these leaving my bag anytime soon. :smilie_ping:

I went to a fitting account demo day today and the ping rep told me 2-3 days on build for fitting accounts. So with 4 days ground shipping that should be a week. I ordered mine today so I'll post when they arrive for a data point. (I wondered too if the lower price and the early season demo days would up the volume and make for a longer build time.) 7-9 days seems very reasonable for what is essentially a custom order.

I’ve got 27 holes with mine and have been getting mixed results, at best. Coming from forged blades, my distance has increased and I’ve hit some really nice shots, but the thicker soles and added bounce have proven to be a difficult adjustment. I hit more shots fat than I can ever recall. It’s never been an issue for me. I’m actually wondering if I do t need to tinker with the lie angles a bit.

It’s a process, right?!?!

One of the reasons I went with the DG 120 is that it seemed to feel closest to the shaft setup I've been playing for many years in Miz blades and MP62s. I too was a bit worried about the sole width and the higher bounce, but most of the turf here in the midwest is softer and we get a lot of spring and summer rain, so I'm just going to cross my fingers. I played with i5s for a short stretch and had the same concerns there. I need to get a little shallower into the ball due to some left wrist issues I've run into as I've gotten toward the more senior end of things.

If you changed shaft model/flex or something else substantive, then yes, it could be a bit of a process to get the timing and feel back to what you're accustomed to doing on the course. Patience is a virtue on that end, but I understand completely how hard it is to go backward from good, solid ball-striking.

Wider soles should not produce more fat misses. If anything, you would thin it more by bouncing into the ball

Not sure I agree. The issue, at least as I see it, is that there is metal where previously there was none. Add a lie angle issue into the equation and the iron’s sole is striking the turf when I expect it to still be hovering above it.

There may be other factors at play, I grant you.

One thing I know is that I’ve never had an issue with fat misses until 27 holes ago and it has been a very big issue since. Some time and tweaking should sort things out. I hope.

You have green dot, right? Are all of your past sets 2 degrees upright? Also, is the shaft length the same?

The one thing I am worried about in the set I have coming is whether green dot will make my short irons too upright. Mine are 1/2 inch longer than standard, which makes mine effectively a yellow dot, but I still dont want wedges more upright than 64 degrees at the most. I like long irons a little upright, but not when I get to 7-U. If it is an issue, I am sure Ping will adjust them.

And it could be, as you say, a process. I like Mizunos a lot, and I hit a set of Miura CB57s tonight at the range (solid impact with those is addictive.) Both are lower bounce irons, especially most Mizunos, and if you are used to those, the Pings will be a lot different. But you will adjust if you want to.

I am one who does not find low bounce irons to be less forgiving. It does help if I have had a few rounds under my belt first. In the i200, the bounce is on the high side but not as high as a Srixon V-sole, and it seems softened by the leading edge. But it is a fact that the wider the sole, the more a club will play like it has more bounce than the measured number.

A few more rounds might cure it.

Considering picking up a set of these. Playing z545s right now and like them, but the thicker soles on dry Texas hardpan can be challenging. Anyone have any experience going from PX 6.0 to the DG 120?

Curious about any distance gains for you moving to the Pings...as I'm about to make the switch from 900 tours as well. Same shafts in both sets or did you change things up?

My only real concern in moving from my 900's is giving up on the consistent numbers I get. Would love a few more yards...and some extra height too,..but they're about as reliable as I've had. Any comparisons?

Just got mine in. Took about 10 days total. Man these things are nice.

The length is a little more than I was expecting. Overall, most clubs are about 3/4” longer than my old MP15s and the 4i feels miles long. It’s almost as long as I play my 4H that would replace it. We’ll see how it goes though. May or may not replace the hybrid.

They didn’t order the UW like I wanted, but might be a good thing. Loving the MD Forged 56 so might add the gap wedge to match. Also the grips didn’t come with Ping on them, which was a bit of a bummer.

Hope everyone enjoys there’s.

Did you order them longer than standard or were your MP15s shorter than standard? The i200 standard is only 1/4 inch longer than Mizuno standard.

+1/2”. That’s what I was fit for, and they feel fine now after hitting. The 4i just felt massive at first. I think the midsize grip made it feel much larger too. The 4i is awesome off my mat. Way better hitting. Could be the head, or the custom fit, or a bit of both. Can’t wait to get on the course after this 2 weeks of rain subsides.
