Injuries got to her. Back issues that never got better. Had to WD from her last tourney I think. Not saying she was going to be some great champion but it hurt her career. Does some TV or web series here and there. I have been expecting some of the powers to be at one of the networks to put her in the booth or on course as a commentator, but it hasn't happened yet at least on the regular. I'd think she'd be great for LPGA coverage at worst, but what do I know. Did hear she was dabblling in politics, good for her, seems well thought of and well spoken.

Looks you in the eye, thanks you, will sign anything. The LPGA wanted her to be their standard bearer, but the back injuries short circuited everything.

I saw her dad at the 2008 Semgroup Championships in Tulsa where she was paired with Juli Inkster and Carin Koch for the second round. He looked exactly the same as on tv.

I think John Gulbis has always lived in Sacramento....if you saw him on TV in Vegas, he was in Natalie's house on Reflection Bay near Vegas.

 

I think John use to be a corrections officer who was retired before Natalie joined the tour in 2002.

 

I have the feeling that Natalie had a falling out with dad....she'll tweet pics with mom....but I have not recalled anything with dad for many many years. I think Barb and John might be divorced within the past 5-10 years....in the early mid 2000's .....you'd see both at events.

 

I asked Greg Sheridan where John was in 2015...he never really said much...but didn't give me the impression that he had passed away.

 

Oh ya....Natalie is one on the nicest and sincere LPGA pros.

Although her husband has a 'past' with some company he had......Josh is a very approachable guy....I can see why they married.

Natalie was a very good player. Except... Could make putts when it mattered. I dont think she had the killer instinct. She had a nice career. Nothing to be ashamed of.
