Colorado WRX 2018

Saddle Rock is about 10 minutes east of there on Arapahoe. Lone Tree is about 10 minutes south down I25 on Lincoln. Neither are my favorite courses, but probably the most convenient to that area. Since your only looking to play nine, I'd say saddle rock. I enjoy the front nine there more than I do the back, I think.

That's funny, I am the opposite of you with Saddle Rock....love the back, hate the front. Same goes for Lone Tree.

There are just a couple holes on the back that I just hate at saddle rock, 10-12 particularly. 16 is probably my favorite hole there though.

Lone tree, i dislike both the front and the back. It’s probably my least favorite course around. It’s sad because I live like 5-8 minutes away. For a couple of years I kept trying to convince myself I liked it, just because it’s so convenient.

Thanks guys. Yes, I know Saddle Rock well, I play out there a few times a year, just didn't realize how close it was to TopGolf! I go back on forth on how I feel about Saddle. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it...I think the problem is I love Murphy so much that I'd always rather play there over Saddle.

Forgot... I drove by Lone Tree GC the other day, and I see that they demo'd the #6 tee boxes. There isn't much room to extend (not that they need to), so I think it's just going to be a re-build.

Unless the weather is nice in November, my golf season has come to an abrupt end. :(

Does anyone know of any good scrambles coming up? It would be fun to get a group together before the holidays roll in.

If you find any, let me know. I'd love to play in anything.

Haven't touched my clubs in about a month. Mom came to visit + got a few stitches in an awkward place in my back + my girlfriend is here for an entire month now. Can't convince her to ride along for a 5 hour round of golf. So no golf until November for me. But any scrambles in November...I'm game! I think Red Hawk has one.

Anyone playing this weekend?

Booked a time Sunday at GVR. Hoping the cold snap drops the leaves and they all blow away all week. I think there are a few holes out there that have some opportunity to lose a ball in the fairway with all the leaves.

16 should be fun. Couldn't believe all the construction going on there. Course won't be the same.

Anyone playing this weekend?

Fossil Trace on Friday, a quick 9 with the wife on Saturday at the Links, and since it was a topic of conversation earlier decided to play Willis Case on Sunday after bailing on Evergreen cause they aerified this week.

I need to get in as much golf as I can before the weather no longer cooperates

I haven't been out since March and I don't know if there was much going on then. I guess I'll see first hand...

Queso and Stoney (or anyone here), I booked Highlands Ranch at 10:20 on Sunday. I have some member passes I’m burning through so it will only be $50 for 18, cart, and small range bucket instead of 95 or whatever normally. Let me know if you guys are interested!

I'm definitely interested if you still have another spot available. I live in HR.

I would love to but my time at GVR is 9AM. We should get a couple more nice weekends before the cold really sets in and I'm game to drive down south and hook up to play sometime. Keep me in mind if you need a fourth next time. THX

Supposedly going to be 71* Sunday, so definitely should be at least a few more weeks with golf weather. Of course I'm saying this while surrounded by skiing gear. Trying to figure out what the kids still fit into and re-fitting ski boots/liners/footbeds. You just have to love Colorado where opening day for skiing is this Friday for A-Basin and Saturday for Loveland and we can still golf on Sunday. I think of all the years I wasted in FL... :dntknw:

Broncos are tonight, DVR the early game, can pick right up with 2:00 games or watch on delay to avoid commercials. Voila! Golf and football!

Of course, this reminds me of my favorite recyclable Broncos joke...

Q: What has Vance Joseph done that John Elway never could?

A: He made Denver a baseball town!
