What's wrong w golf fans (and sports fans in general)? All I see is fans holding their phones up to record shots. And then after the shot they try to give the players high fives.

 

If you're one of the people who films everything or begs for high fives can you give me some insight as to what goes through your mind? It just seems so weird to stand there "watching" golf w your phone above your head.

The phone thing is so they can post on FB or 'the gram', thus showing their friends how cool they are. Not sure about the high fives.

He is rusty as hell but still under par for today and that's better than half of the field. I am incredibly encouraged by his play especially his short game. The distance control and swing will come with time. Nothing I have here is a red flag in his game.

Then when we are watching on tv we can phone into the PGA and tell them John Doe in the back is on his phone, give him a stroke penalty or boot him out.

 

 

I've only watched major events and those were no phones allowed and they did tell you to do so, not sure what it is in mid level tournaments

If Tiger could just get to 5 or 6 under. On Sunday, if Luke List or Noren sees Tiger is 3 shots behind them with 9 holes left, I doubt they will hold up.

Maybe I am asking for too much.

 

You might get your wish on the first part with a miracle yet this afternoon, but on the second part those guys have little basis for fear, I don't see him scaring anyone unless he wins and wins and wins. Best he can hope for is getting near or in a final group and his galleries pissing people off.

I assume he can spell and sign his name correctly and figure out how to get home. Would put no money on anything else, except whatever he feeds Paul Casey to keep him.

Have to say it would be great if there were more courses like Torrey Pines on Tour, nice balance between birdie chances and punishing bad shots. Better to watch than -20 leaders after 3 days.

Tiger looks pretty healthy and strong and I thought his swing looked very good at the Bahamas........now the tempo seems gone and too many violent swings. Not sure the body can sustain those long term.

That being said, it looks pretty damn good right now.

 

Pretty much for 1.5 rounds hes turned a 73-74 into less. i always thought his short game( in his prime ) played better in firm conditions where he was allowed to use his creativity and shotmaking. He does know this place well after all.I think hes won here a few times :)
