Man, this Matt Kuchar is WAAAYYY better than the current Matt Kuchar! Can we convince him to go the whole Keyser Soze route and keep this up? He'd make a great villain, then they can pair Kuch and Reed together as the US Ryder Cup team's own Suicide Squad!

So, some of the Groundhog's Day rules were "unfixed".

 

I think in the entry form, we said, "one re-do per team per hole, tee-to-green". Some took that to mean "not on the green".

 

Question 1 : should we be able to use the re-do on the green?

 

Also, we said "one per team per hole" but if you have players of disparate abilities, you could have one guy do all the re-do'ing.

 

Question 2 : Should it be one per player per hole? One per team per hole? Or a third option : one per team per hole, but the player who has the option switches each hole. "A" has the option on 1. "B" has the option on 2. etc etc.

 

Also, we've already pretty much decided the answers, but still willing to listen to opinions.

2) well. this makes me re-think #1. With players of two different abilities you could more easily alternate do overs if putting was an option.

The entire season of NLU Tourist Sauce really makes me want to go to Scotland more than ever. They did a really killer itinerary, too. Lots of character and variety.

The entire season of NLU Tourist Sauce really makes me want to go to Scotland more than ever. They did a really killer itinerary, too. Lots of character and variety.

 

Just finished watching the Royal Dornoch episode. I have watched the other ones multiple times and just can't get enough of those courses. It looks so fun and different playing over in Scotland. The NLU guys did a fantastic job with these. Very enjoyable to watch.

River Downs, formerly known as Francis Scott Keys, formerly known as River Downs. Hands down, so hard it's not fun. Course is target golf tee-to-green, E-V-E-R-Y hole.

New wheels got delivered for my Clic today. Installed in about 5 minutes, and the brake works again. Booster clip fixed the bag issue as well.

 

Next step is setting up the clubs in the bag. Srixon doesn't know how to build irons to a proper length, so I'm converting them back to good old X100. If anyone wants a set of AMT Whites they will be available.

 

I think I'm going to stick with 13 clubs, there isn't enough of a gap or need going from a 17 degree wood to a 21 degree driving iron and 25 degree 5i. Maybe a driver shaft experiment but the Atmos will wait until after Groundhog Day.

Only one I’ve ever played from your list is Cross Creek. And I wholeheartedly agree. I played it for the Steve Czaban ads. I do not trust Steve Czaban anymore.

I've got a similar gapping. I go 3w->20 deg hybrid->5i (bent 1 deg strong) at the top. I haven't been able to come up with any ideas to squeeze an extra club in that range that make any sense. Along with not carrying a 60, that leaves me with 12 in the bag.

Supposedly it’s back now. Why I specified year I played it. It was ATTROCIOUS in 2015. The “fairway” was like my moss laden shaded back yard. Tex and bandondunes played it recently. They had good feedback. I have no reason to care as only place in PG County I’ll currently golf is Hivemore.

 

Cross Creek is now closed permanently as well.

Trotters Glen, if anybody remembers, was run by a crazy lady that looked like “ Throw Momma from the Train”. Again a nice layout that was allowed to deteriorate and I think it closed a couple of years ago.??

It’s amazing how many of the golf community courses have closed. I will be in VA Beach this weekend for soccer and was excited about Cahoon Plantation Course. It closed last year!

Cross creek had some nutty holes too close to houses
