I think Sub 70 is releasing a new forged wedge line up very soon called "JB".  Might pick up 58 or 60 to test.  Also via Insta gram working on a new driver and I'm very interested to see how that will test out.

Anyone review the 3 wood yet?  Loving my 18 and 21 degree hybrids, might add the 3 wood.

Those 799's would be like having a bag of hybrids.

To me, they resemble the old Cleveland HiBore set. For a beginner/high cap, it seems more than functional. But overall I love that they have something for everyone.

Another shout out to Jason and Cody and the guys at Sub70. My specs are somewhat unusual (swing weight D6). Jason called me personally to discuss and Cody was super helpful in placing the order.   Can't wait to get my 699 pros. To confirm, same size as 699, just thinner top line and less offset.

Based on this response in the comments on the new 649 blades, they are intending to sell the TA3’s....albeit at a bit higher of a price than their normal stuff:

Awesome, thanks! $141 a club is definitely a step up for them price wise...

still a good value! I’m definitely tempted to at least try a pitching wedge...

Yeah....good call.  Once the 649's officially launch I may hit up Jason and see what the damage would be to send him back the 8, 9, and PW I have in the 639 MB and change out the heads to the new ones.  I'm intrigued by the "minimal offset through the entire set" thing.  My one complaint has always been the odd amount of offset those things (the 639's) have in the lower end.....particularly in the PW.

Interesting... I just figured out that the 649s aren’t the ta3s... I’m not a smart man.

curious what the price will be on the 649s! I can’t imagine it will be higher, but who knows?

Cool just saw.  Looks like the 286 is there updated version with a straighter leading edge.  I always thought the original looked very rounded.  58 and 60 have 10* bounce

The JB looks more versatile and ton of bounce options across the lofts.

I'm liking my 58 Glide at the moment but when they release the satin or raw I might pick up one.  Not sure which though.

I’ll be keeping en eye out for in-hand photos of these. I just bought some Maltby wedges that have more rounded leading edge (GW) or less bounce (LW) than I would prefer. I plan to give them a full season to evaluate but would absolutely buy some Sub70 heads if things don’t work out.

Any word on the FWs? The 3H and I are hit and miss at the moment although I think it’s me just needing more practice.

I don’t know anything about a fairway refresh, but know they have a driver in the works... wouldn’t surprise me to see some new woods along with it.

Anyone gaming the 699U as a hybrid replacement? I don’t think the 939x 3H and I are getting along anymore.

@JaySub70, are you guys able to do custom sole grinds similar to the V sole of hogans and srixons or are those patent protected?

To be honest I'm not even sure on the patent side.  We don't offer any in-house custom work on that level.  It just gets tricky because people can be pretty particular on those adjustments and we wouldn't want them to be disappointed due to a miscommunication or misunderstanding.  There are a ton of great custom work guys out there that are experts in that kind of work.  I think that would probably be the best way to go if you wanted some custom grind/sole work done

Custom grind wedges would be awesome, but probably a hard thing to pull off in the dtc model...

Looking forward to the new releases, though... I think the 649s are going to be excellent.

Me too.  My 699s came in on Xmas eve and made it under the tree for Xmas morning.  3 rounds complete so far and I'm VERY pleased.  Each round was played in 40* weather, and they still felt nice and performed admirably.  Accuracy with these has been spot on.  Can't wait to use them in warmer weather so I can figure out my distances with each club.

Needless to say, I'm excited for my upcoming golf season.  Thanks SUB 70!
