Sub 70 Clubs

Can someone who has the 659 MB's post pics of the pw, 9, and 8 at address next to a ball? Idk if I would commit to buying a new set but I'd be down to snag a used set if I see one on FB Marketplace. I ask because I'm particular in how I want the scoring irons to look and I'm worried they might look a little chunky. Thanks!

Damn waited until Black Friday to get the 699 Pros for the discount, only for them to be out of stock.. Takomos it is then I guess..

You can probably call them and place a hold order that will get put together when they come back in

Hate to rain on parades but this is what I got from the guys at Sub70 back in August:
 

There is a small number of 699 Pro Satin and 699 Pro Black pieces arriving in an upcoming restock shipment (Around 2 months away), and then that line will be discontinued to make room for Gen2 of our 699/699 Pro series. 

 

Gen 2 of our 699/699 Irons are due to be released in Late Fall.

 

Photos of Gen2 are still under wraps for now, but we will make announcements via social media when we are closer to the date.

There are more 699 Pro heads of the current generation coming in within the next few weeks and the new generation will be out in January

The face and hosel look good.  I think the back leaves a lot to be desired.  I think ver.1 looked better.

Pretty sure they’re only out in reviewers hands, not for sale so doubt (unless he is the guy from that link) hasn’t seen them in person

agreed. im a bit disappointed tbh. Was hoping to upgrade my 699s to Pros in the new year. 

 

I was hoping for a milled type finish like on the 659s which i think look amazing. These remind me more of the 799s.

Might want to wait Sub 70 has an upgrade to the 699 coming in January

I was wondering if someone from Sub70 could help me figure something out. I previously had a set of 639 CBs I really liked. The configuration was GP MCC +4 grip, KBS Tour 90 Stiff Shaft, with the 639 CB satin heads. Could someone tell me what the swing weight was for the 7i?

 

The reason I ask is because as I look at new irons, I really liked the overall weight of the set up I had before, but given the differences between head weights between OEMs, I am looking for a way to approximate overall weights between different options. I know it's a guessestimate, but it's better than nothing.

@dokex - The 639 CB irons have really heavy heads, so having the lighter shaft help me have better control. But if I were to put the same shaft into something like the Titleist T100s, which are much lighter heads, the club would be too light. To get the feel I'm looking for, I'd have to put a heavier shaft in.

I had great time yesterday at Sub 70’s Bears/Packers viewing party at The Seventy. Even with the Bears finding a way to lose to the Packers again, Tried some clubs, ate some pizza, had my one beer, watched some football and heard about a couple of new iron offerings coming in 2023. Jason took  time as he’s known to do to answer some club questions I had. I also got another hat which makes 6 or 7 at this point. Not a bad way to spend the afternoon. The fun part was watching how excited the Sub 70 people were when Zach Fischer won his tournament and qualified for the Open. They all looked like proud parents.

Definitely prefer the look of my gen 1 699 pro's compared to the new ones coming out, but that being said, its a picture and doesn't tell the whole story. I'll give them a demo once they release.

Quite a bit stronger, but looking forward to trying them out. Hopefully the price is in line with only a little more than the original 699s and not on par with the 659s.

Don't know if you were looking for more specifics, but their website does show January for restocking. Hopefully they will be back up shortly.
