We have in the past but had some issues which I believe were largely because most of our heads were parallel 370 diameter and the BBF ferrules fit much better on taper 355 diameter. We stopped doing it for the most part due to those issues...and the fact that sometimes we would receive 6 ferrules for a 7 iron set or other situations that just created more work for our assembly team and customer support team. We will have 355 and 370 options for all of our forged stuff going forward so we're actually looking at stocking some of the BBF stuff. I need to throw it out on social media to see what BBF options would be most popular and then we can at least have those on hand. If you're looking to send us some ferrules I would just email [email protected] and he can let you know if that's doable and how to get it going. Thanks!

Jay - any time frame on the 355 heads?  Specifically, LH 659 CB?  Thanks.

@JaySub70 Looking on the website and getting close to placing an order for the 659 CBs but cant decide between Satin and Raw. What say you?

Also what is the standard swing weight? If I want something heavier is there somewhere I can put notes on the order?

Got my 3-wood and 54* wedge in a couple days ago.  Packaging was great.  Stickers, ball marker and pouch are a nice touch.  Order was spot on, they even left the grips uninstalled as I requested.

Clubs themselves look great, lengths and swingweights seem good even though they are not listed on the website.  286 54* wedge weighed in at D2-D3, 949X 3 fairway weighed in at D0.  I like my fairway a bit heavier so I swapped out a 6g weight for a 12g which came out to ~D2 and a bit of draw bias which I like.  I kinda get not listing swingweights as they can vary a lot depending on length, shaft, grip, etc.

The only issue I had with the entire order was the wedge ferrule.  I ordered the wedge raw so I removed the head, rusted it up, then reinstalled with my own ferrule.  So all is good now.  With any luck I can get on the course today to try everything out.

I purchased the 005WB a little while back. Loved the look and milled feel to start but it played closer to 36 inches, and with the 1.0 grip never felt right in the hands. Today I shortened it by an inch, changed the grip to a Jumbomax 1.3 which I play on another putter, and switched the toe weight to the 20 gram but left the 5 gram in the heel to create the slightest toe hang on the face balanced bend. Went to the practice green this evening and was really pleased with how it played. Going to roll it for a while and I'm sure the honeymoon period will end but the feel from the face really is great. Hoping it can be a consistent putter for the for rest of the season and still believe the quality exceeds the price.

We'll have more 699 Pro Satin heads ready in the next couple of weeks. They probably won't last very long though. We'll keep everyone updated via social media or you could probably call 877-267-7093 to preorder a set if you wanted to do that.

There are no plans for the 699U to be LH at this time. I believe we'll have some LH utility/driving iron options in 2023 though

Thanks Jay I got some demo clubs on the way to test out. Order processing was seriously fast. Got my order and shipping confirmation within 30 minutes.

Late to the Sub70 party, but was hoping someone could give me some help (without reading through all 70+ pages)….decent golfer 9 handicap and have played the following irons over the last several years…og 0211, Srixon Z565, 921 HMP, and currently play Gen3 P’s.  Would the 699 Pros be the Sub70’s closest to those heads or should I be looking at another model?  Also what type of finish is the black on the irons?

thank you in advance.

Yes they would be. The longer irons in the pros would have almost half the offset of the 0211

The 699 Pros are a Tour PVD black finish. The 659 forged models are a QPQ finish. The 699 Pros would be a good option...the next step up would be the 639 or 659 CB

Jay, any sneak peek’s at the new 699 Pro’s?…I’ve heard there’s an update coming.

Honestly I don't have anything at this point and the release date is still very up in the air. We've been working on an improvement/update since the original model came out. It's been a thorough process which is certainly closer but as far as I know there's still no concrete timeline at the moment

Well, if you need a young up and comer for an ambassador let me know my 15 yr old son would be a great candidate 😬.  Oh and I’d be happy to give my input/tweaks to the new Pro’s if you need it 😝😬

Has anyone done a Gun Blue finish on any of the raw irons? I love the raw look, but thinking I may start with a Gun Blue finish an let it do its things from there on a new set of 659CB's that should be coming in a couple weeks.

I don't really see the point. It's going to wear off the sole and face very quickly, and will rust almost as fast as raw, unless you keep them clean, dry, and oiled.

I happened upon someone selling a like new set of Sub 70 639-CB 4-PW on my local OfferUp for $500. I jumped on the chance to try this brand I've been eying for a few months now (Being raised 20 miles from their HQ's also has special meaning). I wrestled though if I can handle such player looking cavities anymore considering I don't practice/play as much as I used to, but figured I could re-sell later if need be. I actually was looking at some 699 Pro's on ebay before these turned up.

I had a horrible first day at the range with them though, I will say. It felt like I was playing blades and it just didn't feel right to me. Harsh, grabby through the turf, lots of mis-hits and everything was way right. I left the range thinking "well that didn't go well".

I decided to go get the lie/lofts check and the lies were off by 1.5-2 degrees on every club (for me. they were standard to new specs). After paying for adjustment I went back to the range and my GOSH what a difference. Could lies make THAT much difference? Or did I just have a better swing day today? But I left the range LOVING these. Butter soft - like Mizuno soft. And long!

I hope it wasn't just a honeymoon day. I am playing a round tomorrow on executive course so we shall see.
