Fairway golf which is a sponsor here has some available

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
- Lord Tennyson

What's even funnier is the "Upcharge: +$0" once you select your model and length. What a joke.

That’s just terrible, I know the old mantra of let the market dictate the prices but to jack them up pre-release seems unreasonable. Shame.

I tried that day and was busy all morning and by the time I got a chance to start looking around none were to be had. I called my local PGA SS and they sad the allotment went in mere minutes. Unreal.

I was told this was the first wave of putters and more to come. I don't know if this is true or not, but this is what I was told.

See.. if they release more stock of these putters, cool. But if in 3 months they release different models such as a fastback 2 or even a squareback line, I’ll be upset to have to sell and retry this whole process again.

I can certainly see that happening.

Anything is possible but I doubt it.

Scotty has this limited release thing down. Release enough but not enough to drown out demand.

Heck I’d be up for more released. But I just don’t think he’ll do it. Maybe I’ll be surprised. Ya just never know.

Agreed. He wouldn’t push limited release only to release the same later. Would hurt future demand for other models. He would of just done 1st of 500 or something similar.

But in my opinion he has to do something different. He’s loosing too much ground to Odyssey. Obviously feel is subjective but the sound and feel ( synonymous ) of an Odyssey in my view is light years ahead of Cameron, and the numbers on tour confirm this sentiment.

What are these tour numbers? What are the stats that back that statement up?

I’m genuinely curious. No horse in that race. Fan of both brands.

There are a lot of articles posted on the topic, broken down in various ways. But here is one from March:

Yup

And while I agree that he's got to do something different, I'm not sure Odyssey feels or sounds any better than his current stuff lol.

I love his old stuff. I don't think you can beat some of stuff from the carbon Newports, mil specs etc. I even loved the 2008 select line. But since he's gone to the new inserts, I've stayed away. I have heard noise of his new line going back to solid putters, so I do think he is going to try something different. If that different is going back to his more classic stuff, then I can't wait.

yup

if that "new direction" is more nods to the past, then I'm on board for sure

How does everyone feel about this proposal? Come out with a new Teryllium line, but do it kinda like a new California line- NO Newport/Newport2 heads, do the inserts in the same style as the current Select line, and just a brushed stainless finish (NOT black). So, it’s a different looking TeI3 line, which maybe wouldn’t step on the toes of the T22?

D - Ping G430 LST 9-degree, Kai'li 60S
3W - Ping G400 Stretch 13-degree, Alta 65S

5W - Ping G425 17.5-degree, Alta 65S
Hy - Ping G400 22-degree, Alta 70S
5-U - Ping i230, Aerotech Steelfiber i95
54- Ping Glide Pro Forged
59- Ping Glide Pro Forged Eye toe
P - Scotty Cameron Teryllium T22 Fastback 1.5

I like this idea. Maybe along the circa line too? That is still my favorite blade putter scotty has ever made. There is something about one piece carbon steel that I still love!

Sounds great except for the insert style. The wrap under insert on the Select’s looks awful.

So they sold all of the putters they don't have yet? I know my GG hasn't sold any and wont sell them till the 16th.

They sell the allotment they are given. It’s called a pre-order allowing stores to sell before release date.
