I gave away all my Nike shorts to goodwill because i cant stand 9" inseams.

 

All I wear are the Vineyard Vines 8" inseam performance shorts, now.

Im in the same boat. My brother-in-law is a Nike employee so besides liking the style I generally buy due to price as well. With shorts though I’ve gone completely to Bonobos.

Forgot about them, I do have two pairs of the Bonobos highlands in 8". Also a great option.

I've gone exclusively to Bonobos for my pants. I'll have to try their shorts. As a vertically challenged human being (5'6") I have to hem everything anyway, but shorts that start at 10.5 or 9 fit like parachutes through the thighs.

I pulled the trigger on the frank polo finally and then the new TW t-shirt.  Had a gift card to use.  I’m just glad that they finally made a TW t-shirt that wasn’t 100% cotton!

Why did they feel the need to make this a "golf" shirt?  Seems like it would have been fine as just a Nike shirt, and all they would've had to do was leave the word "golf" off.  And Nike Golf has not been around since 1972.

This shirt is great. I still have it in about 4-5 different colors. They're not in the best shape so I mostly wear them around the house but still very comfortable. Would definitely buy again!

I'm a few days late but I picked this up....it's kind of heat TBH.  I think, in a lot of cases, Nike is really trying to connect Nike Golf to the current style of Nike clothing instead of leaving it on an island.  The line-up has increasingly become a mix of athletic style and hipster/sneaker head options.  The inclusion of the Nike polo which isn't an athletic material is a great example.  Same goes for all the prints.  Plus ppl have gone nuts for street shoe conversions like the 97s, 1s, 90s, 270s etc etc....just makes sense for them to keep blending.

That's great for some people.  I'm by no means a traditionalist on clothing but I feel like they're missing a large population of golfers with this stuff.  I will agree that the street shoe conversions have done well but those are also normal products that people would buy anyway.  I would kill for a regular nike golf shirt like they used to make. They have a lot more swings and misses on the blending than they do homeruns.

Oh no denying what you're saying at all. I've got Nike Golf stuff from forever ago I love and still wear.  And you're right about the risk of blending lines and alienating groups.  IMO Nike looks at it like "why are we trying to compete with Footjoy or even a brand like Travis Mathew/Cally?" They want to go the classic route and appeal to the traditionalist and Nike is very clearly trending toward the athlete crowd with half of their lineup and the hipster crowd with the rest. No saying it's a good thing but I do think they've chosen to try to find a foothold beyond Tiger which really fueled them for so many years.
