The Best Total Package Driver Ever??

... Like you, I am playing the Cobra Xtreme. But my vote would be for the Cobra Fly Z. A mid to low spin head, forgiveness was usually not as good as higher spinning and more forgiving heads. But with the weight low and rear, it was very forgiving and produced a great trajectory with good spin numbers. I thought it was the first of it's kind and I had my best driving season ever using my original Fly Z. My son has it now and won't even look at another head. I love my Xtreme because it is even more forgiving with similar spin and a hair longer but not quite as solid sounding/feeling as the Fly Z that really put Cobra in the driver game.

Another vote for the 983K... While the feel, sound, and performance will be something I remember as perfection, it may just be nostalgia. I was playing in college and my folks sent it to me as a surprise. It was always nice getting a care package when at school, though none will top that one!

2016 GBB

smallest looking 460 head I have hit, clean matte black, slider track, weight port towards face, the callaway adapter, tons of room to make all sorts of adjustments, good feel, long, forgiving.

This is the clear winner. My buddy picked one up at a garage sale two years ago on a whim. He picked up 20+ yds instantly. I still have mine and it is still nearly as long as my Wishon 919. Back at that time it seemed like everybody had one of these. I wonder how it stacks up in regards to Taylor Made's all-time best sellers.

On a side note, when the SLDR craze hit, TM released the Jet Speed which looked like an updated Burner. My brother got one on sale at Dick's for $139. Kills the ball with it.

I played a RApture for quite a while and still have it in the garage.

For me the best ever driver is the one I have been using since 2015, BB Alpha 12* turned down one with the stock regular Speeder 565 shaft. I miss a fairway about once every three rounds and it's longish for me which is to say not terribly long.

I have a Ping G410+ with the Ping Tour 65X.

To think of all the money I wasted on all these exotic JDM and other shafts and heads over the years and this stock setup just works. It’s high quality with good feel and it works synergistically with the heavy head.

I went and hit every driver they had yesterday and nothing could beat it for consistency, average distance, longest distance, and feel. Sim Max with Diamana DF would have been my second choice.

One thing of note: I’ve really been working hard on a positive AoA and am hitting a towering push draw. Like 14-16* launch and 2000 spin with static loft of 9*. I *never* drop kick the Ping but I kept dropkicking the Sim Max yesterday with that big protrusion hanging out the back.

I really did want to buy something yesterdayβ€”I was just sure the Sim Max would be my Father’s Day gift to myselfβ€”but I am actually pleased that what I already have works best for me.

The adjustable weight and loft settings also seem to make more tangible differences than other adjustable drivers I’ve had in the past.

Remember the TM R7 Superquad. That was the original OG best total package driver. 4 weights, smallIsh deep head. Felt amazing.

This x1000

Just damn good. Fairway finder when you don't hit it perfect - bomber when you hit the oversized sweet spot. Shape it either way, just all around solid. Gotta get the right shaft though. Can't hit it with any of the Ping stock offerings.

For me, the Callaway I-MIX FT9.

Instead of relying on 1 time fitting, we could buy individual heads/shafts and play them on course switching around until the magic combination was discovered.

My own is FT-9 10 draw with Diamana Blueboard 63S...which I still play today and might be the most accurate club in my bag. Its my driver and 3W because I can hit it off the deck.

I'm tempted by the most recent crop of adjustable drivers (SIM, G410) but don't know if 5-10 yards is worth giving up the extreme confidence I have with my current.

Looks, Feel, Performance, Features... Titleist TS3. It's the most well rounded driver currently on the market.
