2007 Burner TP

i have one of only about a dozen in the world that is the TP with the groove less face. I ordered it right after the PGA Merchandise show and they sent me one of their first heads. It has a stock Graphite Design shaft that freqs out at 6.4.

I.e. what driver was the total package during its time period?

Obviously it may not outperform today's drivers, but at the time it was the total package/the best.

The Adams 9015d (or 9064 if you prefer) with a Diamana shaft of your colour preference (Blueboard for me)

The War Birds were great too. The fella I was paired with at Spyglass last fall was about my age and played college golf at Duke I think he said. Still had his War Bird 3W from back then (I had one back then, too) in his otherwise totally modern bag. Said he never found a 3W he could hit better. And he did indeed kill it with that thing.

I do miss my two Ping Raptures 9* and 10.5* with the original Diamana shafts.

Ironically , I am with a Mizzy ST200 with the latest and real deal Diamana shaft.

Just like the look at address (sits open), newer titanium alloy, performs well and pleasant sound.

You’re 100% right on those warbirds. To this day they’re still the best fairway woods I’ve ever hit.

A few things...

Two.. you must be rich owning every driver ever lol

Three... the best i own is the standard callaway rogue 9 degree.. best feel, sound and distance with accuracy i have owned. That being said i have the standard mavrik turned down to 8 degree.. its pretty good.. sound and feel is maybe a notch down and also i dont know if its just me but i feel like im not seeing those big drives here and there like i would with the rogue or even 2017 big bertha fusion.

I have been really happy with the Cobra F9. I hit 13/14 fairways (only missed when I hit hybrid on a short par 4) last round. It has also hit some pretty long drives (for me). I am always chasing the next best thing but I have zero interest in looking with how good this performs.

Those 07 Burner TPs were fantastic. I still have the fairway in my bag to this day. It beats back all the pretenders that attempt to kick it out of the bag.

Titleist TS3 with Mitsubishi Diamana DF 70 TX 8.5 deg @7.75 deg. Been playing TM for 10+ years and never had a Titleist driver. Love the black look and shape it couldn't be better. Had a Ventus Black but hitting it 15-20 yards farther since I got fit for the Diamana DF (cut spin down more). Everything is right about the setup I have right now and have never thought that about a driver.

The FT-9TA 8.5 with an 80gr Kai'Li was the best combo for me I've ever bagged. The ONLY reason I don't still use this combo is because after busting 3 of these tour issue heads I couldn't find anymore and was forced to go a different direction. I tried the Razr Hawk and wasn't satisfied.

I was introduced to the SLDR 430 JDM and with the same Kai'Li found the longest driving average I've ever had. On the other hand it's also the most punitive driver ever designed.

It's a tough question to answer. But when i think of drivers that just completely dominated the landscape i think of the 905R and the original moveable weight driver which i believe was the R7

In their heyday those drivers were probably in 50% of the bags of serious players.

I actually just gave it away because I sold a kid a Superquad I had that he somehow broke on the first range session. Felt a little bad about it so I floated him the Rapture. It was beat.
