Justin Thomas Inspired Putter?

Saw this on Instagram. Not sure if this is fake or real. Thought the 5.5 (although not like like JT’s) was supposed to be the JT inspired putter. If this is fake, or already mentioned somewhere. I’m happy to close this down

I’ve seen this rumor too... I sure hope it’s real. Just wish the price point isn’t too high.

I'll take one if it's like $249. Not paying more than that. Would rather pick up an X5 or what not on ebay and do a custom.

Yeah, I just purchased an X5R to customize but I am gonna hold off and wait to see the retail price to see if it’s worth it or not. If it’s in the $500-600 range, then I’ll probably just go the custom route.

Somebody at TCC was told the price would be $899 or more by a retailer.

I saw the Titleist rep this afternoon and he said $900, limited run (although he was unsure of how many), and should be able to order them around the first of October.

I have no doubt they will. But the sheer act of him peddling a glorified re-release as a limited - with an option that should have been offered YEARS ago as a stock option - is just stagnant.

 

But dont worry, I'm sure Scotty will take admiration of some new race car this year that he saw while in the South of France, fanning himself with the 1000$ bills he made from selling mass produced putters stamped with his name - and design a putter line after it.

 

And yes, my gamer is an X5.

As is tradition with an LE from Scotty. Honestly I prefer the look of a regular converted X5, I don't need or want all that extra branding, I like JT but that putter is looking like a Nascar jacket.

I know the old "row of nickels" is the standard phrase used to describe the weld on the neck. But why not finish out (Grind/polish) to a nice smooth surface? 

 

Other than that, crazy price tag for an ordinary putter.

Still not the same as JT's. This is a small slant weld neck. JT's is the old flow neck custom bent into a low single bend.....still not what the people want and 8X more than the OG found on the Bay.

No no no... The weld neck is a massive flex.  How else are your playing partners supposed to know how expensive your putter is???

Yup - "designed to the exact specifications" my a**.  The neck is not the same as JTs.  Period.

I love camerons but i wouldnt buy it even it was JT's actual putter....$899? WTH...and its "inspired" which means different materials are most likely used
