2021 Cameron Putter Line

Not sure if I’m misremembering, but I thought they come out with their 2021 like sometime near the end of 2020. Seeing as how it should be a new line of mallets I’m very interested since the Phantom line was pretty underwhelming. Does anyone know if they usually release details before the end of 2020?

Spy/initial pics usually are teased around the PGA Show in late January, typically available at retail in March or April. I’ve never seen a new line available as early as the end of the preceding year.

Not optimistic about a PGA Show. We are due for  a mallet Futura/ Phantom line. I wish we could get a B back faced balanced head again.

Just announced the PGA show is virtual this year....no surprise here.

There are a handful of pictures posted in some threads on Golfwrx. Nobody can really determine if it's a sneak peak at the upcoming lineup or just one off Circle T's. If it's the newest lineup, not much change. Phantom design with different body colour and the lines are different.

Looks like a solid stainless milled putter instead of the aluminum on the phantom

Also looks like maybe there might be a OTR IBJT version with the slant neck

 

I'd say that's pretty significant and quite an upgrade over the phantom line

hope that those pics end up being a teaser

If you're referring to the X5, yes it looks one piece, but the X12 still looks 2 piece. I heard rumours of there being a slant neck at retail similar to what is currently in the TM Spiders (which would be huge considering the amount of conversions there are), but that is just forum talk, no confirmation.

No more insert and back to stainless for the x5. All these guys doing conversion work are going to be really sad that market is about to dry up with this release

There will always be room for lefties converting over RH putters, especially a lot of Scotty's mallets.

The prototype Futura M5 that Rickie has been gaming looks unreal. If that is what the new Futura line is going to be, then your boy is getting a new putter in 6 months.

my only concern is that the aluminum phantoms already cost $420, if they go back to steel are they going to be $450+ now? Geez.

Has anybody actually seen a new prototype with a slant neck? For some reason, I have a feeling it’s going to be the low bend shaft like the current Phantom .5 models.

Please tell me more about your post. I’m a lefty and I’d be absolutely giddy if I could convert a righty Futura X5.5 to left-handed? Is this a thing?

Yup if you have Instagram look up the accounts Bastain Milled and Flanigan Bilt. Both do a lot of putter mod work and will convert a Futura X5 from RH to LH by chopping off the neck and welding on a new one.

I haven't used either but I've heard positive from both so maybe see what they price the job at and go from there.

I've used Flanigan Bilt on two occasions and getting ready to send in a Toulon Garage for welding conversion soon. Great work, very timely and professional. His work rivals what you see come out of tour vans IMO

Despite driver prices continuing to soar, I’d think $429 is about as high as you can push an off the rack, widely available model without becoming too much of a luxury / niche option.

Usually they pop up in Hawaii but I haven't seen anything yet. I'm waiting patiently for a weld neck X5, Justin Thomas style.
