Me as well...yet, recently I’ve been trying a older face balanced and it’s crazy how you can feel the face just wanting to stay square.

I'm actually wondering if this is the supposed Inspired by JT that's supposed to go OTR rather than a slant neck version

I thought it would be announced a bit earlier. 
 

Looking back from previous years, end of Jan was when Scotty made his announcements. 
 

Only time will tell...but I would like a new mallet this year to give my ProPlatinum a run for it’s money!

They typically hit shelves in march. Announcements should be coming in the coming weeks.

The 12 and 12.5 Model will return. Biggest news is that there will be a retail JT model with this line as well. Flow neck and double bend options. (Flow neck JT model offered in LH as well). The face/forward part of these will be stainless and not aluminum this year. The neon paintfill is nixed from the last phantom line.

What?! Inspired By JT model is actually a slanted neck. So you are saying (or hearing) the retail version will be flow neck?

I'm not sure which part surprises me more.  Flow neck JT or lefty version.

That would check off a ton of boxes for a lot of folks.

I feel like we may see a slant neck but I doubt Scotty will offer a flow neck to the public.

This is a little confusing. The slant neck is what makes the JT the JT right? Without that it’s just a normal futura 5.5. So are they making the JT or just the 5.5 again

There’s a difference between flow and slant neck.  The phantom 5.5 was neither, just a modified single bend shaft to promote some toe flow like a slant or flow neck would allow for.

Any idea about an official announcement? If this is legit I am pretty excited. That putter looks awesome. I was going to try to get the JT model, but totally forgot about it when it was released.

Not that weird actually. 

 

The main line of putters was called "Select" in 2012, 2014 and 2016. They released Golo lineups with different designs in 2014 and 2015.

Love that new blacked out grip too... honestly looks better than the IBJT on the sole.  I think IBJT was a fake weld anyway, so this putter is a winner to me.

TGW has changed the name of the Phantom X 5 and 5.5 to 2019 Phantom X 5 and 5.5.
