Tourist tip:  if after playing Torrey South your daughter talks you into heading over to where the parasailers take off and then 300 some feet basically straight down about 3-4 feet at a time on a "trail" that says "DANGER STAY OFF" and you are taking her picture with the ocean in the background and she lets out a shriek and turns around, odds are a naked man is strutting up the beach!  We were apparently the only people in the world that thought Black's Beach was famous just for the color of the sand, a vial of which she just had to have (and she wanted to dip her toes in the Pacific).

if it is, interesting conundrum going forward. Tough course so does he ignore the issues and move on? Shorten it going forward?  Go back to another shaft all together?  There had to be something there to warrant putting it in play, but is it worth it?  He’s been all over the place, but the bomb and gouge ideals have been around a while now, and he is still near the top of the leaderboard regardless.

The don't allow the players as such, but the Tour is heavily invested as is NBC.

Watching these guys hit every approach shot full on, and then watching it spin 40-50’ away from the hole reminds me how amazed I used to get watching Tiger. It seemed his ball always had just the right amount of spin.

Spinning the ball is impressive to most golfers, especially to those who can't spin it. But what good is spin back if you can't control where it lands or how much spin you putt on it?

I remember the golf world blowing up when he hit a PW from 100 yards at Hero one hole. It’s like he accomplished something that wasn’t possible on tour.

I just thought you were referencing prohibitions on players, but only really became aware of the bigger issue when watching GC the other day at lunch and them referencing NBC's premium channel being on for like 10 hours during one day of Torrey coverage so people could get their gambling fix.

Yeah, Tiger is his prime hit a lot of 3/4 shots and controlled his spin better than anyone on tour. It was much harder to do then considering how much the ball spun and the fact that box grooves were still around.

Not disagreeing with you...he hit that ball from the bunker, so no telling what that spin was. Had it hit the green, it could have pulled back for all we know.  Heck, in theory, it could have been the same for landing in the rough too.
