TM Stealth is a marketing gimmick and nobody else will go down the carbon face route.

could not agree more and a lot of people need to watch this video starting at the 9:50 mark.

unless there is some massive cost savings factor in manufacturing going with carbon over titanium (doubtful), then I dont see this becoming a trend.

Unpopular opinion not related to clubs: Having a JBL bluetooth speaker I clip onto my bag to listen to music on the course should be the #1 accessory every golfer should own.

Golf can be a very mentally taxing sport and being able to listen to reggae while driving in the cart really really really calms you down and makes you relax lol. Music is therapeutic and lord knows I need some therapy after I spend $80 on a round of golf and hit my 4th straight drive out of bounds with my $400 driver.  It puts you in a good mood in between shots.

So..spend $50 on a clip on speaker if you havent already. You wont regret it. Just dont be a *** and crank the volume to max for the whole course to hear.

Draining, just like reading some posts on here. You have to be joking. What’s Reggae anyway - is it that repetitive, noisy garbage ?

Well music makes noise so yes, its noisy. My point being golfing in dead silence is not the way. It keeps you mentally tight when you need to relax and not overthink shots.

What is music therapy?

Music therapy is the clinical use of music to accomplish individualized goals such as reducing stress, improving mood and self-expression. It is an evidence-based therapy well-established in the health community. Music therapy experiences may include listening, singing, playing instruments, or composing music. Musical skills or talents are not required to participate.

Nailed it lol I go with reggae because it is the ultimate 'happy' and 'feel good' music and reminds me of being on vacation somewhere. It just immediately puts you in a bouncy good mood.

Im not going to relax and hit better shots listening to Linkin Park lol

There’s some truth in your 2nd sentence right enough but I don’t think many of us think besieging a course with Reggae is the solution.

You point above reminds me of a regular 3-ball I played in comps years ago with: 5,6 & 8 handicaps, aged 20, 30 & 37.  We agreed to try to play one round in complete silence as we’d generally made far too many jokes during competitive rounds. I should remind you then that we only had comps every 3 weeks so we were used to joking continually.

T’was ridiculous, lasting until the 7th hole. Looking at each other we burst out laughing at the absurdity. But who plays in silence except the D & D Golf Society ?

I agree with this, but most of the music therapy I encounter on the course is of the blaring AC/DC or (c)rap variety from several fairways over, which is weirdly not therapeutic.

lol agreed. You can listen to music on a BT speaker in your cart without making sure guys on the next hole can hear it. If done properly, its a game changer.

I prefer to listen to the sounds of nature while I'm on the course.  I find that much more therapeutic than any music, and also much less distracting.  Also, the music I like is far too complex and heavy to have any sort of therapeutic effect in the first place.  I can't imagine trying to keep myself in a good swing rhythm while listening to Tool play a song in a crazy time signature like 17/4.  I also get pretty pissed when someone turns on music on the course that I don't like, such as any modern pop or hip hop.  That "music" is overcommercialized soulless garbage, and I don't want to hear it anywhere, much less when I'm on the golf course trying to enjoy myself.  Courses should have made rules banning music years ago, now they've let it get completely out of hand.

It shouldnt be that hard to keep music at a volume for other golfers not to hear it. I play mine at a decent volume and I can barely hear it from my cart when Im on the teebox. If you playing it THAT loud that people can hear it 50+ yards away from you---thats obnoxious.

It shouldn't matter, but I absolutely hate the Cally logo. I can't play their ball for that reason alone. It has ZERO effect on performance, but I think most of their stuff is just ugly. Great performance, to be sure. But just ugly.

That should be the only way it's allowed on the course.  Golf has been played for centuries without people blaring their music.  It has only become a problem since the "it's all about me and screw everyone else" generation started playing the game.

I would say it truly became a thing when bluetooth speaker technology arrived and got better.  Prior to that, there wasn't really many viable options.

What about getting your own speaker and blaring something like a Paul Harvey best-of compilation?  That might be an effective psyops countermeasure.  And now you know the rest of the story.

I remember trying to hit balls with my iPod and trying to snake the headphone cable down my shirt so it didn't interfere with my swing. I like the new age reggae, sublime, sublime with Rome, dirty heads, list would go on. Not going to find much music lovers here. Very traditional golfer but I love my music. I'm also on the same page with Viktor hovland music choices death metal makes AC/DC  sound like teen pop. Anyways bluetooth speakers are great for just going to a small public track that is over crowded. But when I play at my friends private course we keep it low key to where you can only hear it in the golf cart.

Paul Harvey?!  I'm not that old, bro!  I think Ben Shapiro would be more age-appropriate for me, or maybe Glen Beck.  There's really not anyone else on the radio these days that's comparable to Paul Harvey.

Dude, are you saying Viktor Hovland listens to death metal?!  That's freaking awesome!  Just when I thought I couldn't possibly like the guy more, I find out he's a metal head.  Crank it up to 11!

Lacuna Coil is really good live.  I saw them open for Shadows Fall several years back.  Cristina is so freaking hot!

To be fair, portable music really hasn't been feasible before the past 10-15 years.
