From Philippines, not Japan.

Koreans won 6 out of last 11 majors.  Would you say Koreans are fading?  🤔

Not to mention 6 of the last 10 US Women's Opens.

I'd be shocked if Yuka doesn't take the LPGA card in 2021 (eg she's eligible already next tournament right?).  #LabanPilipinas

Now I can root for 2 bets in more tournaments and my LPGA candidates in the contest will be more competitive 😛

Too bad I can't do it this year.  But I'd gladly be 2nd to last this year -- "invest for the long run"haha

If she wants to compete for Rookie of the year she'd be better off waiting until next season. I wouldn't be shocked to see her take immediate membership though. She did enter Q Series a couple of years ago. The Tour is certainly in her plans.

Enjoy your embarrassment of riches, I'm so jealous!

You're supposed to be my friend, but you kicked my butt when your fav won the tournament and my fav had her worst day ever.

There'll be a revenge, but a gentleman takes time on his revenge.

I agree.  She should defer ... that will give her the opportunity to play the remainder of the JLPGA as a sort of "swan song" and then compete as an LPGA rookie next year.  Should she win, it will help her with sponsorships and recognition for the sport in Southeast Asia ... especially if Patty T. wins it this year.

Nonetheless, what a Rookie Year this would be ... two Rookies winning the first two Women's majors!

Yuka becomes the 10th player in the past 5 years to win a major as her first victory on the LPGA. Talk about stepping up.

Technically I don't think she's considered a rookie winner given that she wasn't a member when she won.

You're correct ... I just meant that if she took it now she'd be considered a Rookie.

Yes, she'd be a 2021 rookie if she joins LPGA this year.

However, she wouldn't get any CME or Rookie of the Year points for her win this week because she isn't a member when she won.

Lets call a spade a spade.  It's not the caddies fault

I did not say it was. What I said in other words is the caddie changed his demeanour compared to Saturday and we all know they need to work as a team. If the caddie has a protective approach to the round then the player will feel that. It has an affect on the player.

My memory is bad nowadays.

Has anyone else watched Saso as an Amateur?

I saw her but didn't watch her play at the 2018 Cdn Women's Am.

From afar....I think Yuka was wearing Loudmouth pants and her loop....I think from the Philippines also wore matching shorts....kinda similar to what Porna Phatlum does with her caddies.

Anyone see Saso wear this as regular apparel with her loop as an Am?

I'm also pretty sure her dad was tagging along.

Is Saso from a rich family?...must be expensive travelling as an Am with a loop and a parent.

Did she also have expenses paid for by a Philippine Golf a**'n?

I didn't see any change in him.  I did see her asking him a lot of questions like "are you good with that" etc etc.  She needs to take ownership of her shot selection, as if she's playing alone.  Let the caddie carry the bag, not make decisions for you

Was the last famous Philippine LPGA pro.....Jennifer Rosales?

She marked her ball with Sharpie flowers...she gave me an autographed golf ball.

Jennifer used to smoke a lot...I think in her later years she was vaping?

Jacqui Cocclino (sp???) is also a smoker too?...same with Dina Ammacapane and Big Mama Carner.

Rare to see LPGA pros smoke.

I remember watching her finish third at the 2019 Augusta National Women's Amateur, and in the 2019 U.S. Women's Amateur where she got knocked out in the first round of match play.

I forgot that Megha made it to the semis at the 2019 USWA, losing to Albane.

Call it jingoism or marketing ... have to pump up the golden girl, especially after what she just did. Fact is, she was beat, especially mentally, by a 19 year old nobody has heard of. That 19 year old could turn out to be a world beater ... but with all her experience, Thompson is the one that flat out choked down the stretch.

A skill set that had to be managed. Can’t believe LT didn’t pull this off. 17 and 18 just hit the middle of the green. She’s carrying what, 3 or 4 wedges. Is she too steep. On 17 she felt she flushed it. On 18 she’s short. That’s not a professional on tour. Sorry. Just doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

i have very few points to show in the tournament for my bets in our contest! 😛   and for my best bets - they have zero cme points even if one won the big prize while the other was walking with her on the course today haha

I could buy that. But damn, Lexi led that pair to their complaining, befuddled, false reactionary odd excuses after awful execution from tee to fairway to greens on the back nine.

Exactly. Middle of the fairway on 18 with a wedge. Par and your in the playoff. I think you could have done that.

I know she's in a "rush" ☺︎  She plays golf quick too...   But I see what you mean by ROY... She already gave up Univ of Georgia scholarship to go to QSchool in LPGA AND JLPGA... Golf is even more in her blood than Bianca... Bianca will put education first... Yuka - I have a feeling would go LPGA ASAP unless of course there's something that i don't know about the JLPGA (aka Yen) ☺︎

Nasa is a little snake bit. 2nd playoff loss at a major. She lost to Sung Hyun at the 2018 KPMG. I believe she's also lost two non-major playoffs.

It'll be interesting to see. Not quite the same circumstances, but Hinako didn't take membership after winning the WBO.

I thought Nasa truly had the momentum in the playoffs -- but, as Yuka said in her interview: "If it's for you, it's for you"... I have to admit though - I didn't expect Yuka to win it -- well, bec. I didn't expect Lexi to hand it over...
