I could club Lexi all day - we hit exactly same distances.  I would not pull my 50* gap wedge from 109 uphill unless I was trying to land short, or had a one club tail wind.

Earlier she pulled wedge from 132 (I think also uphill) and barely made the green with a back tier pin position.  That’s a 9 all day, maybe take a smidgeon off.

She was hitting fades off the tee earlier, starting down the right side into right rough...at what point do you say “ok I’m playing a fade, I’ll start left side”.

Who knows, I realize it’s different being there, but looks like plenty good enough ball striking with lousy course management (and putting nerves after it got tight).

Van de Velde - 3 shots blown on 18 at Carnoustie.  The biggest one hole collapse.  At least, he made the playoff.

Auh, feel really bad for Thompson. By all appearances she’s a fantastic young lady. But that was an awful collapse. Poor girl almost tweaked out on the last nine inch putt too. 
 

So on to the playoff. Yes, I’m behind - so I’m just talking at y’all hahaha. Rooting for the Filipina here!

 

The broadcast - poor. The LPGA Golf Channel regular tv crew is my favorite of all the networks and tours. So NBC decides to just butcher the big show, as if they have the power to make it bigger than what it just is.. Thumbs up, dopes..

I'm glad Lexington $#&T down her leg coming in. After the way she has acted after getting caught cheating I will always root against her. Her chipping and putting was as yippee coming down the stretch as a B flight player in the men's league trying to make a net bog to win the 9 holes.

OK ... how can they lump in Watson in 1987 with what Palmer and Thompson did today? That is just annoying. Watson shot a 70 that Sunday (I watched every one of them). Simpson shot a 68 to WIN that day, nobody lost that tournament. Watson almost holed a 35 foot birdie on the last hole to force a playoff.

Rory McIlroy's collapse at the Masters was bad but he recovered right away and won the US Open.  I hope Lexi Thompson can recover from this.  Not sure if she really can.
