Apparently Lexi thinks playing from the fairway is too easy.  She’s killing me.  Pitch and run, Lexi, pitch and run.

 

I would love to play this course.  I’ve heard that TV cameras flatten out the course and this course looks like the only flat lies are on the tee box.

You know Hole #6 was shortened for 3 days, Hole #7 was shortened to 226 yards yesterday, Hole #19 was shortened to 99 yards for one day.  And the list go on and on.

What that tells me is they mowed the rough the week 1 to 2 weeks before the women were on site. To trim it to an even height they would need to water it heavily leading up to the event then run the rough mowers over it once. Along with specifically instructing the crew to match the rough height when doing detail work (weed eating around the trees, etc). The article was written on Tues and the people I know have been on site since last Sat/Sun and no rough mowers have gone out.

Sounds right to me. I was a member for ten years at the Phoenix site of the old LPGA stop where Annika shot her 59. The members would put up with obscene amounts of rough leading up to the event and the LPGA staff would come in the week before and tell us what height to cut it to.

Thanks, appreciate your sympathy; this is indeed the worst day as an avid fan of Yealimi.

 

However, look at the bright side.  The sun will rise tomorrow, and there is another tournament next week.

I know someone already made a comment of Anna Nordqvist playing on Sat in a white T-shirt.

It's crazy how these private clubs would never let women onto the course in T-shirts, short shorts or really short skorts, etc...yet the LPGA pros and invited players often play breaking the club's dress code.

 

One can also hear some pros...male and female.... playing in metal spikes....another dress code violation at many many clubs.

Pressel might be laughing a bit...but it's Paige Mac who is constantly GIGGLES....it's so obnoxious.....and then Paige made some dumb comment about nerves and legs getting weak like "walking on the edge of the Grand Canyon"...WTH.
