Best aftermarket shaft for G425 Max Driver

Hi guys! Wonder what aftermarket shaft has given you best numbers in the new Ping G425 Max. I’d like to hear what have you tried and what shaft has taken the spot in the big dog maximizing/optimizing launch and spin. I may find something to try for my 108 swing speed basing on your experience.

Tensei PO seems like a natural choice, maybe Fuji Pro 2.0 TS or one of the legit Rogues. For me, when I was playing G425 in the first half of the year, the stock rogue white was the best for me.

I just got fitted for g425 LST, graphite design AD IZ. Pretty low spin head, low spin shaft with higher launch

You'll likely get a different answer from everyone, so you're much better off describing what you like, what has worked for you, and what you're looking at. Shafts don't pair with heads, they pair with players.

TSi2, purely on look/sound/feel. I hit both clubs almost the same

Like other have said, your mileage may vary. But for me its been the Ventus Red 6x tipped one inch, and the Hzrdus Hulk 60 gram. I also play the 10.5 degree head turned down to 9 to keep the face open which i really like

Those are two pretty opposite profile shafts are they not? I play the LST and the Tensei Pro Blue 60TX but have a chance to pick up a Ventus Red 6X and am pretty tempted

Ya theyre definitely different. I play the ventus most of the time, but if i play a course where I can really exploit low spin and i feel like swinging hard all day Ill play the hulk. But if i had to choose one it would definitely be the ventus red.

Unless someone here has a swing identical to you and has the exact same feel preference, this is a dead end question. 

 

I play a ventus black 6x tipped an inch... Doubt that is going to be the right fit for you.

Hate to parrot but it's going to the best shaft that fits you.  To go further into detail, you should find out if you like linear or non linear shafts.  Something softer in the middle, stiffer in the tip, softer or stiffer in the butt, etc.  If money is no issue, then go in for a fitting and go from there.

Agree with the sentiment here.  $$$$ doesn't necessarily mean better, especially when it comes to shafts.

+1 for the Fujikura Ventus Blue 6.  Love this shaft and have the red in my fairway woods.

Rogue white for me…stable and consistent.  Maybe not as flashy as the ventus, but has been a fairway finding combo…so far.

I will give you an example of linear.  The Ventus Black that is ultra stiff/stiff/ultra stiff profile would be considered linear.  Something like the ZF which is stiff/soft/stiff would be considered non linear because the mid is way softer than the rest of the shaft.

No surprise that. Picking the best shaft for the person that the driver is best suited to takes a lot more than a one hour fitting session. It means a lot of swings with a lot of shafts, preferably on the range, not on a simulator. Who has the ability to do that? Ping.
