2021 Titleist T200

We have comments referring to the T200 in just about every thread. Let’s centralize the T200 talk until we get more information.

From the looks of it, the new T200 appears to be a hollow iron with a forged face. Is it possible the body is forged as well? Tungsten weighting inside? From the images we’ve seen, the T200 looks to have a top line that’s a good bit thicker than the T100.

What features are you looking for in the T200? Does the hollow body turn you away?

I think that people were pleasantly surprised that the last model of T200s were a smaller size and shape for a more forgiving iron and now are a little worried that with the the hollow body and the pictures that we've seen so far that that will no longer be the case.

At least that's what I would be worrying about. Hollow bodies are obviously growing in popularity and so I don't think that's the issue. The issue at least for me is the uncertainty in size and shape, especially since the original T200s had great size and shape for their classification of iron.

I mostly hope that the cavity on the 4i is not visible at address!  I think T200 might be the closest to my current i200… but the 2019 version was a no go.   I’d love to be able and blend T100s and T200.

WITB:

D - Titleist TSi2

3w - Titleist TSi2

3h - Titleist TSi2

4-9i - Titleist T100s

45*, 49*, 54*, 58* - Artisan Golf

P - Artisan Golf 0117

Given the cavity has been filled in there should be no visible cavity at address.

I think it will look like the P790 or Forged TEC do at address (i.e. pretty good for this type of iron).

I would love for it to be an updated T-MB, but I don't believe that is the case.  I have seen some other pics that look a lot better to me than the pics Titleist chose to release.  Very interested to see more and learn more about it.

It's definitely hollow it has a hotmelt port. Still looks alot like t-mb concept crossoverScreenshot_20210623-083335_Chrome.jpg.4e0448c1e3326fc84a310743c98c6ac9.jpg

Looks like the back plate is epoxied on like the old Titleist JP wedges.  This is smart and should save them a lot of money in production instead of welding it on to make the hollow head look like one piece i.e. Mizuno HMB, PXG, CNCPT, P790, et cetera.

I'm positive it's just recessed and is filled in by paint. Save even more money that way.

Me personally I’m not a fan of hallowed body irons. I don’t like the feel. I personally wish Titleist would just make their t200 in competition to a srixon zx7. Something that is one piece forged, feels great and goes far. I wouldn’t buy a t200 preciously because they were cast and I prefer not to play cast clubs based on feel.
I personally think that the bigger companies could learn a lot from srixon. Their game improvement irons look like players clubs. They look and feel great.

interested to see how these play and perform

I absolutely like the looks from the pics I've seen.  If it performs anything like a P790, I'll be thrilled and among the first to buy.  I currently have a combo set of T200 (5-7) and 100S (8-p), so  looking forward the the 2021 versions of both.

The T100 is the direct competitor to the ZX7. The T200 is more comparable to the ZX5.

Titleist is missing the whole show by not building a T-MB that is clean like a 620MB (similar to the HMB from Mizuno), that iron would crush the player distance market.

The current T200 are so good probably only needed to tinker not completely change. This new hollow body should've been a whole different model - IMO.

Wouldn’t the T100 be the competition to the zx7 ?

I wish they'd go ahead and release more pictures of the T200's

From what I've seen on here and other social media.

Those are the ones that has the most interest, not the T100 or their utility iron.

I think its everyone isn't as thrilled with the t100 and 505 so we're hoping t200 brings it home lol

True but either way the T200 is getting the most talk so Titleist needs to stop teasing us with videos lol

I wonder what the backing of the T200 is, painted and shiny plastic or aluminum?

No way it’s plastic or a polymer...that’s simply too cheap and not durable...especially for the size of the covering. I’d be pretty disappointed if it’s just a huge piece of plastic.

I hope not either but polymer is pretty durable although I don't think the painting would hold up and that would be cheap. I have seen some shiny painted plastic before.

I'm guessing some type thin metal that's attached some how, just by looking at the pictures of the U505.

Not sure how I feel about that. I would hope the backing wouldn't come off but I'm guessing other club makers are doing something similar so it's probably not an issue

I'm mostly tossing what if's since Titleist is being stingy 😂

T100 s is based on loft. I play a combo of srixon right now.
Srixon is way more forgiving then t100.
the gist of my point is that I wish the t200 would just be a stronger loft one piece forged. Not a hallow body
