Just committed Putter adultery

I have been gaming a Byron Morgan Epic Day custom putter since September 2016.  I had gamed a Byron Morgan DH89 GSS custom putter since August 2016 and had a few rounds with it before the Epic Day came.  I have not gamed another putter other than the Epic Day since I received it ..... not once.  That is until today.  I put the DH89 in the bag to see how it rolled and I had one of the best putting days I have had in decades.  While the Epic Day putts very well and I am very comfortable with it, the DH89 seemed to release just a bit better today.  I missed quite a few greens today barely ending up either on the fringe or just in the rough green side on 12 holes.  I chipped in twice, once to save par and once for a birdie.  That left 10 chips and I made 8 of those putts to save par.  In total, including the two chip ins, I had 20 putts today. 

Not sure how the Epic Day will respond and now I am confused as to whether I should leave the DH89 in the bag.

Uhhhh. Absolutely leave the DH89 in the bag. Ha! It’s good mojo made those chips go in. Can’t deny the results. A similar phenomenon happened with my Nellie Wings in the bag last year. That bad boy stayed in the bag all season.

Keep that DH89 train rolling. It’ll cool off eventually then go back to the Epic Day.

I played with a couple guys, late 30s or early 40s.  They were decent players so this old man wanted to keep up.  Not just in distance but scoring.  I did both well today.  Lots of green side chips.  Plus I know my home course well.

If it was me I'd roll with the hot hand. I feel like a change of view helps me out but that's about every 30 days, not 6 years lol

Lol.  My not so fuego approach iron game but very bueno pitching/chipping makes my putting appear to be fuego. I would say my short game is mucho fuego and my putting is mucho bueno!   
 

My wife confiscated the DH89 when my Epic Day came in back in September 2016.  I told her that I'm taking it back.  She just stared at me.  Good thing she hasn't really started to play yet.  😁

And I drive par 4 greens to make up for my lack of approach game, it all adds up lol.

 

But hopefully she doesn't want it back, or maybe she takes the Epic Day.

Lol. My day of driving par 4s is probably behind me.  As for the Epic Day ...... ummmmm, I love my wife but she can get any other putter she wants.  We'll go to Golf Galaxy and pick her out a putter of her choice.  The Epic Day and DH89 aren't valid choices.  😉

Nothing like looking down at a naked DH89...great lines, square to the target...one of my favs.  Hopefully, I will be back to rolling one soon.

I have never been a big fan of blade putters as there are so many good ones out there but my Piretti Potenza Elite has been my favorite by far. So now I got the itch to go mid mallet as I have had several gorgeous mallet putters as I really want to try a mid mallet as I've never had a boutique mid mallet so it will be interesting to see now which one will be my gamer.
