All that work to “chisel” and “shape” make these folks look almost angry. It really is sad IMO these women put themselves through this.                  News from the guy at the controls

 

We started this thread the first week of August last year. 122 pages ago. My word do we possess the fine skill of babbling on. 😀  The band has just about completed our long 2021-22 tour. LA is our last stop. I have good news to share in that EMI records has  signed us on for a 6th tour next fall. 

 

After the dust settles on the Super Bowl sometime early next week we will be ending our season and shutting down this thread. A champ will be crowned in two new categories. First let me remind you gentlemen that our regular season champion was P48, the dandy desert prognosticator. He took the top stop in the 18 weeks of regular season action with the best winning percentage.

Last post of the year and know it is with some sadness, but also some freedom.  For those of you... actually all of you because none of you live in the north, you realize all you have in the winter is sim golf.  Sim golf is a funny thing.  You aren't playing golf no matter how you try to slice it, rather (at least in my case) I am trying to chase numbers.  While we want to score because we are gambling, ulitmately the thrill comes from ballspeed and distance off the tee.  In a world of artificial intelligence, my friends and I are neanderthals through and through.

 

Well, I lost, but my numbers were good.  I have oftentimes lamented here since my wife doesn't care to listen to my woe is me story any longer, my lack of distance off the tee.  It is a weird combo of things, but primarily a weight shift to the front foot and an open club face.  The fix is usually pretty unattractive from the get go and yesterday was no different.  I close up the clubface and really focus on the shift resulting in rockets that start left, start low, and turn lift like Richard Petty.  No one was hurt in the making of my gambling losses, but if we were playing real golf anyone over 6' tall would stay behind me and well to the right.  I was 6' off the ground, carry of about 140 yards, and a right to left ball flight of about 35 feet resulting in absolutely horrendous position.  But, I can say the ball speed was up so that was good.  They say its easier to fix a hook than a slice, so I have that going for me.  At least I can try to claw back into a semblance of a golf game unlike my Pick Em results which are done and gone... sadly.
