Anyone order from Iliac Golf?

Man, it’s been 2 months since I placed an order for custom headcovers and I haven’t received them or any communication whatsoever from them. No response. Nothing. Can’t call them since there isn’t a phone a number and now I’m wondering if they ripped me off for $300 or if one day the headcovers might show up? Anyone have any experience with them?

No first hand experience, but a guy I play with somewhat regularly has a few of their headcovers. I remember him saying it took quite a while to get them after he placed the order (don't know the exact time frame). Their website does say minimum of 30-45 days for any custom orders so I'm assuming that timeframe has at least doubled due to pandemic supply issues. 

 

FWIW he is quite please with the looks and quality of his. They aren't really a style I would buy, but he seems very happy with them.

Thanks. I was fully expecting it to take 45 days like the website suggests but now we’re talking 60+ days and absolutely zero communication, hence my concern. Worst case, I can file a PayPal case to see if that elicits some sort of reaction from them. I can’t really comprehend poor customer service as that is virtually the only differentiation retail companies can have over competition. Those who get that wrong, usually fail. Time will tell I suppose.

Spend enough time on here and you'll start to learn that poor communication is a pretty common theme among boutique headcover, accessory, putter, and club makers.

 

It seems that messaging them (boutique makers) on social media works sometimes. Might want to try that and see if anything happens.

It's all about the product. If they like the product consumers will pay high prices and wait long periods of time.

Given the multiple threads here 4-5 years ago about how poor their service is I'm surprised they are still even in business.

I ordered something as a xmas gift last year, placed order in mid-Nov.  I got nervous it didnt show by mid-Dec and tried emailing them multiple times with no reply.  Then I got a tracking email and it just showed up in January.

I’m with BYK. I’d just file through PayPal to get my money back and try something else for headcovers.

Yup seems like a bunch of other people haven't gotten their stuff either. File a claim on Paypal or just do a chargeback, don't bother waiting for these guys.

I bought a headcover from them a year or so ago that was already made in some sale they had going. I’ve never read or heard of someone having a good experience with ordering custom headcovers from them. Mine showed up somewhat on time but there was no email confirmation or any way to track the package which is a little bizarre. It’s a shame because their covers are high quality and I really liked mine.

Yeah it’s like was said before. They’re a high end boutique golf clothing and accessory company so product is everything to them.
 

They’re not a mass producer and as a boutique shop, customer service just isn’t a priority as they apparently have enough high end customers to keep them busy. 

 

I have a few things from them and can vouch for the quality, but I got them either through trades or as gifts/prizes so I haven’t dealt with them directly.

I have had several purchases from them and won a few contests. I personally have never had a problem, but next time I would use the search function here and type Illiac service. You will hear many stories just like yours.

 

All custom orders take a little longer then the maker says they do.

Scott at Eliot bag company was very communicative and it only took a couple of weeks for him to make and ship. We discussed a couple of designs and I think I will be very pleased with what we came up with. Cancel your order and give Scott a shout.

I ordered headcovers last fall, they arrived as promised in 6 weeks. My only experience with the company.

Worst customer service I have had was from Iliac. I bought and timely received several items, before my last item being a jacket. I received it, tried it on, and didn’t really care for it. The same day I received it I started attempting to return it for a refund as was stated to be available. After 2 months and probably 10 emails that were never responded to, I ended up just keeping it and vowing to never order from them again.

Literally 10 emails to 3 different email addresses and no responses. It’s incredible that they have the audacity to send out emails asking for a financial investment in the business. If any VC firms become aware of how poor their service is, they will never raise a single dollar. The internet lives forever and this thread of unhappy customers and poor experiences would be enough for me, as an investor, to walk away and find another horse to bet on. They literally have zero differentiation and are nothing special.

I been waiting for over 4 months.  No response.  I initiated a claim with Paypal a few weeks ago.  No response from Iliac Golf.  I am expecting my refund through Paypal within the next week.  Iliac appears to have turned into nothing more than a scam operation by taking customers money and never delivering on the products.

I got one of their boutique crafts for my driver off ebay

 Fits way too tight on the 425 Max.....quality is superb though

Same I got a really nice looking Pinehurst HC off ebay for what seemed like a great deal. Only to find it doesn't come close to fitting on a driver.

Iliac golf is a complete rip off. They should be closed down. Same thing happened to me placed and order in August of this year 2021, made the payment and nothing but crickets since. I'm sure they have already spent my hard earned money by now. Anyone else with a similar experience please post it so at least we can get the pleasure of stopping other people from making the same mistake. Maybe put a hurt on this business.

Their website says its contest winner (enter email address, winner will be announced…) will be announced in May.  Given the feedback here, I’m guessing that’s not May of 2022…

 

Their website also still has “Black Friday” advertising up.  Good luck, OP.
