Agreed. Supposed to be a throwback but then pair the yellow headcover with the “volt” on the sole. Always felt disconnected from a styling perspective.

Agreed on that, I was surprised they just rehashed the older flow neck and no plumbers. At great expense I snagged a CT plumbers neck X5, and it is pretty sweet. The Toulon with a plumbers neck would edge it out still in my book.

He doesn't believe in face balance, so very unlikely to ever see something like that. He believes everything needs to have some toe flow to it.

Yeah. Unfortunately Cantlay’s success suggest face balance can be very effective. Guess I’ll be buying a putter and modifying it.

Not sure if this is UK only or worldwide but Titleist have informed a large UK retailer that they will not be accepting any Custom orders for Scotty Cameron Putters throughout the whole of 2022.

 

It is Stock specification ONLY - No custom lengths/lie/lofts etc

I was hoping that the 11.5 would follow the same progression as the 5.5 - first iteration had the low bend shaft, second one had the slant neck.  I have/had both and much prefer the slant neck.  While I'm very happy with the 5.5, I would strongly consider grabbing an 11.5 but only if they release a slant neck version.  I figured it was a decent chance that it might be part of this year's release but I'm not really hearing anything about it.

The new 11.5 will still have the low bend shaft based on the picture from the Golf Digest Hot List.

That’s Scotty doing what he does best. Only saving the stuff the masses really want for the “tour only market” and charging thousands of dollars.. This is why I’ll never own a Scotty. Which is unfortunate because he makes the best looking milled putters on the planet

Are you basing "the masses" on Golfwrx or the actual majority of the golf community? Golfwrx members tend to be more of a niche market. Scotty OTR cover what 95% golfers want. Newport and Newport 2, couple mallets, couple different neck options. Although I wish they would offer more options including some plumbers necks on mallets, I understand it's not what they're going to sell a lot of. Plumbers neck mallets are pretty rare, not even seen much on tour. Single bend and slant neck on a mallet are going to work for the large majority of golfers.

I guess that’s why I’ve only been able to afford tour issued odyssey putters because I’m not wealthy enough to own a circle T putter and it infuriates me.. 😂

I will say that I truly believe if Scotty released his new mallet with a plumbers neck, it would be his best seller.. that’s just my two cents of course

Definitely don't need a tour putter. Plenty of builders who can weld a plumbers on for you foe fraction the cost of a circle t. If the 7.5 comes out that is my intention.
