Scotty Cameron Spring 2022 Release - Any Info Yet?

I had 25’s installed in my 5.5 at the custom shop, @Warrick. I believe Titleist accounts can order the weights for you.

30 gram from the custom shop and I’ve seen 40 gram aftermarket weights available.

The heaviest weights Scotty offers are 40s now. The aftermarket ones get up to 45s.Check out Billy Bob's Golf. They're who I use and the tolerances seem to be tighter than the weights that come stock from Cameron. All of my Billy Bob's weights have been +/- 1g. Cameron weights have been up to 3g off.

Thanks, would just need to get in the 380/385 range to be good, think the stock 34 is 360 with 15’s, so 25 would be 380, 30, 390.

If I remember correctly, Brad Faxon had a IG video up with a teaser shot of the newest Scotty mallet with this grip

shown. Probably exactly what we will

be seeing soon.

I can only imagine the x has some kind of high tech since it's on top of the headcover.. cross stability moi..  could have just put scottycameron on the top and the x on the bottom of the headcover. Will definitely get a x7.5 and change everything lol

That’s the design and look of the retail 2022 Phantom line. Much improved.  

5, 5.5, 7, 7.5, 9, 9.5, 11, 11.5, 12.  I believe that is what’s new.   Some will be released early April, some in June.

Looking for some guidance - I have been holding off on getting fit for a Special Select Newport 2 because I figured there would be a new release this year, as there has been for at least the past three 2-year cycles (even year releases for the Select line). 

 

My preference is the stainless steel look, so even if there is an 'oil can' / black version, I am more than comfortable with the current 2020 version look. However, I do not want to be disappointed if I rush to get fit for the 2020 Newport 2, and a new stainless steel iteration comes out along with the X7 and 7.5 as many have alluded to. 

 

I know you cant say for sure without Scotty's official media release, but is it a safe bet to just go get fit at my earliest convenience and not worry about there being a new stainless steel version. I am really hoping to have the putter in time to start the season with.

Its hard to judge what will be coming to retail, but current leaks don't point to a new release for the selects this year. I would say if you love the current model, then get it. If you aren't in love with it, maybe try holding out for a bit longer. Im finding myself in a similar situation but will probably get the Bettinardi this year, and get the new select when it is released later on.

So, with the caveat that I have zero inside information…it feels like SC’s Instagram has been featuring the 7.2 (PN fang) more heavily than I would expect from something not coming to retail. My money (not really—I have none) at this point is the 7, 7.2, and 7.5 all being released.

So to recap—that would make at least 6 new/redesigned models. 7.0, 7.2, 7.5, 9.0, 9.5, 12. Open question whether the jet neck 11.5 is released. Usually if we see protos without the weld neck I feel confident, and I’ve seen a few 11.5 pics without it. So that’d be 7 if the 11.5 is released. That feels like a LOT.

I wouldn't be surprised if some models drop while new get added

I saw 3 of those headcovers in a Scotty bag in my Head Pro's office last weekend.  He's a Titleist staffer, should have looked under the covers!

Yeah I was looking at that as well…that and the grip looks weird to me…again this could be fake I just saw it and thought looks different

Golf season is just around the corner here.. 
I need a new flat stick.. Not sure if I can wait for the Scotty release date.
The way supply chains are.. I'd be lucky to get a Scotty by June.
