Lolz. I thought I was safe actually pre-ordering from Titleist direct. Ha!  Ordered at 6:30am on pre order day.

I called PGA Superstore for an update on my (PRE ORDER). They told me it won't ship until August. Unacceptable. I asked them what they had in stock for opening day and they said they had a 5.5 in 33 inches, but I was unable to just reserve that one for pickup on Friday, I would have to go to the store at 7am and enter a raffle.

 

I called Edwin Watts and they had a 5.5 on 34 inches and I could walk out today with it. Drove over, cut it down an inch, threw on my own grip and walked out. Canceled pre order with PGA Superstore.

Been putting away on the putting mat in the living room and I gotta say, I have been missing out. I am sinking EVERYTHING with this 5.5 vs my Newport.

 

I have played a Newport since 2008 and this is a game changer, pun intended. I rolled the 7.5 in the store and was reeeeeally solid, but decided on the 5.5 for what caught my eye better. The 5.5 and 7.5 are absolutely fantastic.

 

Heading to the real world tomorrow with this to get things rolling, pun intended.

 

Really truly happy with this putter. I don't switch equipment often at all, I play what I like and stick with it. These putters for me anyways have opened up the birdie flood gates. Go try them for yourself.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a 9.5 last week and this thing is awesome. Feels really well balanced at 34" and 15 gram weights. Awesome feel that isn't mushy nor is it tingy on longer putts. My distance control has been really great so far.

I think it’s dependent on the golfer.  My putting stats are worse with the 5.5 compared to my Newport 2.  Both are nice putters but they have to fit your stroke.

After PGA SS tells me it wont ship until August, canceled pre order, purchased in store yesterday at Edwin Watts, now I get a notification that it just shipped.

Well at this point I guess I’ll see if the 33 inch or the cut down 34 swings better and unload one.

Crazy how Edwin Watts even lists these new putters as Pre-Sale and are available before everyone else will sell one. 

 

I am going to bag the 7.5 when I can find one.

This is the normal for this release. Pro got retail putters in already. Pre orders are coming shortly after. He told me I could grab one he has but I told him I'll wait for my pre-order.

I pre-ordered at TGW and World Wide Golf Shops. TGW was first and they say it is backordered (lol) and WWGS just said my putter shipped. Won't be using TGW going forward...

Pre order arrived. Sent me a 9.5 instead of a 5.5. Boy, PGA SS reeeeally made a mess of this. Glad I just picked up a 34 inch in store at TGW and just cut it down.

Its crazy bc even though I love my X11 (last years model), something about the x7 just screams buy me! I love the shape and the way it sits behind the ball, it just feels super stable, the sight lines are incredible 

 

Edwin watts today was willing to give me $279 for a trade in, but I’m probably better off just selling it on fb marketplace or offerup for something like $360 and then paying the difference.

 

I’m sure the actual difference between the two are minimal in terms of feel and performance…

Worldwide Golf Shops have plenty of all the models in stock. Give them a call.

Me too, clearly ordering direct from Titleist was not the way to go.
