LOL, Stricker knows why, that's good enough, but don't pretend if any of it had to do with Reed's other issues he was going to say so publicly.

 Yes they have all said they liked the picks.  And they should!  They would have said the same if Tiger had been picked….or even Woodland.   But that is not the equivalent of them making the captains picks.

I'll take him at his word for it. 

He very easily could have said there were many reasons that went in to it, that he talked to PR and that was that. Instead he chose to go on about losing sleep, how great of a competitor etc. 

But I guess you guys on the tour really know.....

It’s not uncommon for sports teams to unload highly talented players because they are sh.. stirrers in the locker room and the media.  Yeah you can deal with them for a season or two but they eventually start doing more harm than good. I’ve seen and dealt with it in the work place many times as well. 
I don’t understand how this is a hard concept to grasp?  I’ve had more than one conversation in my life with store managers about unloading that “star” employee who one day you don’t think you cant live without, but the entire staff despises and you are pretty sure they are stealing from you.  
 

Stricker earned a LOT of respect, I am guessing, from the team by NOT picking PR. It set the tone for their entire attitude heading into the event. This is what good leaders do, it doesn’t have to be a Rah-rah! Speech before the match that gets them going, often quite the contrary.

That’s what makes folks like that hard for some of us to be associated with ( speaking hypothetically).   To me , my opinion , that sort of passive aggression is impossible to trust.  I just can’t read it.  I tend to take folks for what they actually say .  So smiling or crying while you knife me , is considered worse by me than actually coming at me with anger or disdain.

As for 2 years from now? Top 8-10 guys will make them team regardless of whether its 6 or 8 guaranteed slots. If Reed is in top 10 with no injury/illness concerns, he'll make the team. If he's outside of that, he's merely in the mix with a bunch of others, and no explanation will be needed. Difference being that in 2 years the team will be defending the cup after a landslide victory which is an entirely different optic than coming off being eviscerated in Paris

Im not obsessed, at all. It's simple, Stricker left Reed off the team because of his health, and recent lack of play. It was a really difficult decision that he lost sleep over. I know this because that is exactly what he said.

Maybe you should do some research on your own instead of making an opinion based on what you read on social media.

Tp, I think all Hawk is saying is that if there were reasons related to team chemistry vis a vis PR, Stricker wouldn’t have aired that in public.
