Mizuno JPX 923

You probably won’t hear a peep about the new JPX until July/August the soonest. The Mizuno Pros haven’t even been released for yet (outside of Asia). Possible they push out the new JPX’s as well to next year if supply chain issues are still ongoing and avoid cannibalizing their own sales from the Mizuno Pro line.

My opinion; JPX 923 before The Masters….not likely. JPX 923 before September 2022, maybe. JPX 923 in January 2023, more than likely.

With Mizuno Pro clubs just rolling out there’s no urgency to get the next JPX line out. Hopefully by June 2023 the world will be on its way back to “normal” and supply issues have been resolved.

I have owned the 900 and 921 forged and it is the Mizuno club line that suits my swing the best.  I just don't know where they can go from here on an all forged iron except to make it smaller.  For me, the 921 forged is perfectly sized and I have no complaints.   This next line of JPX will be interesting for sure!

Sure hope you’re right about the supply issues. It gets frustrating having to wait FOREVER for custom orders.

Couldn't agree more. I'm with others- JPX pre-Masters doesn't seem likely, possibly announced towards the end of the year.

Mizuno usually has teasers at the British Open, but they didnt hit that timeline this year. If I am remembering correctly, they usually release in the fall. Since the Mizuno Pro 221, 223 and 225 are some 4 months late, I am assuming the same will go for the JPX line. We TECHNICALLY didn't have a new iron release in 2021. The JPX 921 released in the fall of 2020 and the Mizuno Pro line releases in a few weeks.

I’m guessing the next JPX line will undergo a pretty big facelift, at least in terms of looks. The 921 seemed like a minor update from 919 line outside of adding chromoly to the Forged line.

AskGolfNut posted a comment in reply to someone that he knows what the new JPX name is going to be called but he’s not allowed to divulge. Reading the tea leaves, I won’t be surprised if they deviate from ‘JPX 923’.

Agree above sometime next year at the soonest. I don’t care too much since I got a set of 223 on order

223s didn't work out for me at all. Need to work on my game, but I lost a lot of distance with them. Gone back to my old jpx900 forged for this season and will wait for next season's new jpx offerings....

Whatever the next JPX line is called will not be seen till around open championship time. That is their normal sneak peek time.

my old 825 pros were awesome for many years I didn’t even look at new irons for a long time until last year just because I thought it was time. Then I got the 921 forged and now the 223pro should  be here soon. The 223pro just feel soo good. I hope to keep those as long as I did my 825pro.

I keep hearing JPX tours are coming out mid summer. Something about a huge leap in tech in the tours and they want to rush them out... The rest of the lineup will be on the same schedule. Listening to No putts given they even hinted at another new Mizuno iron coming out they can't name.

Excited thought the 919 tours were awesome and 921 were just okay.

This seems like fake news. There is no way they are going to rush a release after delaying one and having serious supply chain issues after that as well. Why cannibalise your own product?

Hey I think it might be as well. My local pro shop rep brought it up and than in the no putts given they hinted at a Mizuno iron coming out soon.

At least it’s something to keep on your radar.

We all admit if Mizuno came out early with the tours because of that reason, we would all demo them asap.

Would make sense if the source misunderstood and the JPX 923 Tour's are going to staffers/Free Agents this summer off the tour bus only.  Would be in line w/ The Open tour seeding.

I finished rebuilding some MP-5s and I really enjoy them. I prefer a larger blade like the jpx tours. Even with the 221s being such a pleasure to hit, I’m waiting to see what the JPX line offers.

Perhaps from a production point of view, it might make sense the tours would release sooner then the forged or HM, less manufacturing points, perhaps less demand then Hot Metal (local fitter says they sell a ton of JPX HM)….

But not sure if they forge both lines at the same plant.

Here’s to hoping Mizuno moves aways from the SEL offering for us lefties. Really want to see if the 923 forged (or whatever they’ll be called) can knock my P770s out of the bag. Was sprung on the look of the Pro 225s but no dice for us southpaws.

Man... how good are these mp5 huh. Best feel ive ever felt. Maybe the best looking blades too. The 221s look very similar.. i havent hit them but they look like theyd feel the same too. I can stop buying drivers and putters and wedges and hybrids/3woods... but this iron stuff is hard to resist and its getting annoying.
