Any Scotty Cameron 2023 News?

This sounds like something that definitely will happen.. I have seen a few pros using the Newport 2.6, and they have one they are showing off at this weeks tournament, and with a few other company’s putting out center shafted Blades, I wonder if we will get it retail this year

Scotty Cameron is always located at the back of the Titleist booth.  It's pretty typical for Don to be out there himself when the new putters are first displayed on Wednesday.

Yep, Cameron is always with Titleist Acushnet at the show.

 

   He gets out there and makes the rounds when he releases a new OTR line every 2-3 yrs. Matter of fact you may see him on golf channel's "Morning Drive" show (218 Direct Tv ULTRA HD) every year when they cover the PGA Show. It's almost like attending from home. They cover all the major releases and find some other really neat stuff. Some of the booths there are quite elaborate with trackman, giant simulators, and other training machines/gizmos set up. Anything you can think of and 1000 times more. Plus they have that circular basically world's largest driving range off site near the show.

At least golf channel has in the past,

   I believe GC covers this every year, it's a must watch for me. They host Morning Drive Live from the show.

And of course if you're just interested in Scotty you'll be able to get a look at the new pictures everywhere online when people post what they see at the show.

Saw a Newport+ and it looked good...still has the dots milled in the back cavity but no paintfill in them. Grey headcover with red script, new colors on the grip (same pistolero plus that's on the Phantom X but with red block letters)

Stainless, overall exactly the same as the other Special Selects with a few updates.

I think the current Newport and Newport heads are the best shapes he's had for these two since the Studio Selects. I wouldn't mind these sticking around for a bit. 

 

The only minor (aesthetic) thing I could complain about is the 'Scotty Cameron' on the heel of the face is unnecessarily large IMO. Yeah, branding and all I get it, but it just looks awkward. Needs to click the reduce font size button once or twice.

Scotty just posted a preview vid on IG with 01.24.23 at the end. Looks to be a black model and same “cameron” font on the neck as the Faxon vid.

So a double miss in my book.  Massive bombs and not black.  Glad I can pick up a clean, black PLD Anser 2.  Nice that Ping is offering some clean OTR putters.  I do appreciate that Titleist mills them in the USA tho

Could be either? The picture I posted above is the Faxon leak, which seems to be part of the new line. Maybe his is unfinished?? I’d love to see the black mist finish comeback. Doubtful though.

Unless there is a different release, I was literally at Titleist in Oceanside yesterday and watched them assemble them...it was the same stainless, not black or gunmetal. I only saw the Newport+ but I assume they're all the same. 

 

The changes in the neck look like what I saw, they removed some weight by milling out a pocket in the neck. Again, I only saw the NP+ so I'm not sure if that's the same in the other models.

Looks like I’ll be getting an Evnroll 5.2 or 5.3 in all black then.

Pretty meh release imo as it looks like it’s gunna be exactly like the Faxon pic. The only thing I’m interested in is if lefty’s will get a 2.5 or any of the plus models rather than just the usual NP2 we always get.

Yep it's the Faxon putter no doubt! I'd bet my wife and my first born who mean more to me than anything. I think we were all hoping for something else when we already knew the answer.

 

     Nothing special but I really adore the shape alone of the special select so I'd be happy if it stuck around for a while. Just lose the Scotty Cameron on the heel and put Titleist there in smaller font or a Single small bomb. The Raised Cameron on the neck looks fine to me but we need a little pop of color somewhere so remove the bombs and do something new in the cavity. Anything at this point.

I'm underwhelmed but the gray w/ red text head covers sound like they could be nice. Good thing he's finally gone to magnets-NOT.

 

   I'm curious what grip he's going to go with on the np/np2. keeping the pistolini plus is a winner. Certainly got to change the boring gray though. The pistolero plus on the mallets and np+ works well too.

Zoom in on the Faxon putter picture posted above. Looks like there's something on the top line. Also anyone notice the sight line in the flange looks like it has no paint fill at all just like the cherry bombs in the cavity.
