I am testing a T-grind bent weak. I don't expect it to be a perfect replacement, but worth a shot. There really aren't any great, comparable options. I even went so far as to ask Ben Giunta and he said there really aren't any great options for custom grinds unless you went to Artisan golf.

I might give the callaway x grind a shot. I know it's not the same thing, but I'm intrigued by it, and all my wedges right now are the same grind and similar bounce. Want to give myself some options

I game the HT tour grind and you’ll love it. While I’ve never gamed or tried the V grind I’ve played around with the T grind multiple times.

While the HT tour leading edge sits pretty flush to the ground when open the T almost seems to sit even lower with the crescent camber leading edge. So if the V grind is supposed to be a poor man’s T grind of some sorts then the HT tour is a very comparable options and not being a ridiculous $300 wedge

Relative at TM so I get a discount too. Might have to jump

Is this pretty much the same concept as what Cleveland/Srixon is doing?

Do you mean that this is similar to Cleveland's v-sole that's standard in the wedges, or the LOW+ bounce option that comes in 54 and 56?

Vokey failing hard on the release with this one. This should just be in the line up, permanently.

I'm a longtime v-grind user and I hate the idea of switching.

One per account (for clubs), no lefties? Stupid Titleist.

I agree. Following in the Scotty footsteps on this one. I absolutely love my v grind and wanted one to put away for later. Expected some lefty love after offering it last time.

I was talking about the V-Sole.  I was wondering if it was the same, or if there are other concepts to the wedge that are different pretty much.  I play Srixon and Vokeys, and have liked the CBX 2 wedge.  I was genuinely curious.

I don't believe the V-sole has the heel/toe relief like the V grind.

No lefty so stuck with an M-grind, but I am not sure there is that much difference between the two. A bit more shaved off but the M is quite versatile without being overkill like the T/L.

Seems like it would be an ideal 56* wedge. Strange they aren't offering that loft.

Only hang up is that I prefer a slightly heavier shaft in my lob and no customization on the HT Tour.

Yeah that was my only gripe about it but I still have my old wedge with the shaft I need and just did a quick swap. I did it myself and fairly quick but still annoyed about it lol.

I have both of the previous V grind's.

Just one man's opinion but I think you are correct, M grind works as a substitute.  I am playing an M grind bent to 58/10 right now instead of the V's.

The V grind opens up better than the M for true flop shots, but the M is better off tight lies.  Both are fairly versatile.

FWIW I like the original V grind from '06 (or whatever year it was) better than the updated one from 2015/16.

I have a friend with a grinding wheel, and I have taken my M grinds and given them some heel relief to allow the leading edge to sit lower to the ground when opened up (more like the T, but not that low). I am getting a V to see if it is essentially the same without having to grind it myself.

It’s going to be closer to a D grind with more removed from the heel, toe and trailing edge.  Taking more off of an M grind will get you closer to an L grind.

I was OCD and basically lived on the site and most likely was one the first to order lol. I haven’t received any notification or ship info outside of initial order confirmation.

I ordered thru my buddy, he is grinding the heel, toe and straightening the leading edge. I am excited to try it out.

Funny thing, after I posted the above I got email notification that my wedges shipped and will be here next Tuesday. I had lie/loft adjustments done, but no stamping. Not sure if that made a difference.

Apologies if this has already been asked, but does the V grind basically positioned in between the M grind and the D grind?

Can't tell but does that sole look wider than previous V Grinds?

I’ll add a few comparison pics of what I have. First picture is next to a 56 degree v grind from about 6 years ago. Second picture is next to a 60 degree t grind. The 60 v grind may be a hair wider than the 56 degree v. The width looks almost exactly the same as the 60 t grind.
