I liked it a lot. It also seems to have been a shape that would have benefited from the new injection goo boosting moi.

But maybe it just didn't sell...

100%. I bought one and the shape along with the alignment was great. Sort of a cross between a Never Compromise and a Versa 2 ball.

This tech is at least something different. I am shocked taylormade hasn’t already done the polymer goo injection on their putters. They did on their drivers and they work awesome on off-center strikes. If I had to guess, I would think these injected PXG putters will also work awesome…off center strikes should go just as far as center strikes. That’s a big win in my book. Next up…jailbreak technology in putter faces 🤯. My Callaway Apex hybrids are insane. I sometimes totally miss the center and you would never know based on the result. I will buy one of these putters next sale PXG has…probably this winter.

I tested the putters today and thought they were nice. Nothing earth shattering but nice high quality putters. The Closer and Mustang were dramatically improved. The "ting" of the standard model was replaced with a very nice "thud." However, the biggest improvement by far are the new grips. The heavy rubber Lampkins were replaced by what appears to be the poly version of the same grips. However, the branding is classy, almost looks like a leather grip. They had both a pistol and no taper round grip. I liked both. Overall, nice putters but I wasn't handing over my wallet...yet..

Were you able to roll the Apache?

I live a mile away from PXG so I stopped in to check these out. Like previous models, the Brandon feels good to me and the rest are just okay.

If they’d offer the Brandon in the tour long neck and top line alignment I’d probably leave burnout marks in my driveway getting over there.

I tried the Brandon in my local PXG store other day.  Have to say I really liked it.  What I’m more curious about and maybe others here can chime in, the actual PXG putter fitting experience.  I didn’t go through it, just browsing but they seem to be dialed in more so than other putter fittings I’ve gone through in past.   I’m wondering how/if they’re able to take my putter through the gauntlet and then compare their putters and come to any conclusion that says the PXG is better for me.   As far as feel,, it felt really nice.  Compared to a Scotty or Bettinardi, Swag, they all felt good. I like I’m sure many of us will walk into a local PGA store, Golf Galaxy, try some putters on rack and say wow, this putter feels amazing, better than my putter.   But what does that mean?  How can you really tell this putter or that putter is what I should have in hand on course or is it strictly on feel and how you like the look down at address?  I’ve always been curious about this.  When I was talking to my PXG guy, he really seemed to say it was much more than that, what they do and how they approach putter fittings.    I will say this though, if I showed up on my course with a PXG putter and started taking friends money, their heads will absolutely explode.

All the videos I've seen is them using Quintic and showing which putter works best and why just like any other putter fitting.

Tried and ordered the Apache today. In terms of looks, it is a Scotty Phantom X12 but with a half shaft offset in double bend.

I've got the Scotty, very different feel to the PXG and just has the two moveable weights rather than 4.

Apache is clean and easy to line up. Feel is super sensitive to weights and shaft. The M16 really shows up the hollow design if you have standard weighting, especially with a polyurethane grip. Add a little more weight and it becomes a lot more solid, main thing for me was it was automatic from 5 feet and in. Certainly a putter that would suit faster greens.

New PXG grips feel good, plenty of options. Will update once it arrives and I've had some time with it. Aside from the Phantom 12, I've got a gen 2 gunboat and BR1 Bat Attack, so some interesting comparisons to be made.

BR2 one and done is nice, but I think losing the alignment disc is a shame. Blackjack and Bat attack nice too, but not much different, to BR1 except for colours. Ultimately for me a high MOI putter that is easy to line up and has 4 moveable weights was a good option, let's see how it plays out.

They're good putters. I just don't like how they reduced discretionary weight on them.

I've been trying to find a plumber neck mallet putter for a while. Curious as PXG doesn't state the toe hang but can anyone chime in if all of the mallet models have the same toe hang with the plumber's neck? Assuming the weights can be changed to manipulate it but was hoping to snag one of the secondary market since there isn't a PXG store here in Vegas.

Need some help.  Looking to Order the Battle Ready II Bat Attack putter for my husband for Christmas. Big purchase for me, so I am needing some input.  Is this a good choice or is there a better option in the brand.  And yes, I know its really up to the player, their tastes, etc. , but just need a general,  overall voice on this one.  He plays all PXG.  I know enough to be dangerous.  Help a girl out.

It's one of the best putters they make. Every release of Bat Attack is excellent. Couple it with the free upgraded shaft and it's a great deal. Just make you sure you get the length and proper hosel selection.

This is a really stupid question and I apologize if I’m wasting time here, I tried several putters in my local store. They are ALL really really nice in terms of look at address and feel for me.  The Brandon I’m gravitating towards.   I haven’t (yet) gone for a fitting.   Is there something I should be looking for when I go for my fitting against my Scotty Newport that jumps out and says “this is now my new putter?”  Swag is also in my mix.  I know the guys at PXG are going to throw all their tech and the kitchen sink at me, I get it.    Trying to nail this down because if I show up next Spring at my club with a PXG putter in the bag I better start dropping putts.  I’m going to take a lot of feedback. lol..

I play PXG putters and you pretty much can't go wrong. I play the original One and Done and love the alignment aids.

But as @snagy2000 stated. The Bat Attack is by far PXG's best selling putter.

What putter does he play currently?

Is he a serious golfer or recreational...for fun?
