Ventus Black was the most stout/stable throughout (still has feel as phizzy has stated)

VF - Still very stable, but for me gave me more feel throughout than ventus black and it was still stable enough throughout the shaft

PD - The handle was the least stout of the 3, and i have a harder time with shafts with less stiff handle sections to square up the club consistently

 

I had the most luck this year with DIamana GT with it tipped in TX (Stiff handle) and VF.

Rad.  Looks like I need to take a flyer on the vf.

I have a 6x. Put it straight into a tsr3. Feels extremely smooth launches slightly higher than the 1k black 65tx. So far it seems really good. I only have 1 on course round with it, haven’t put it on the monitor. It feels extremely smooth. If anything feels like a little heavier but smooth, as if you are playing a heavier blue board or rpg Accra.

For those that have played UB, how does it compare feel wise (unless someone is willing to share the ei profiles)?  The handle on the UB is medium+ while the VF is firm+, so in GD terms it can't feel too different?

This is interesting bc, it shares qualities and sits in between all of those.  Firmer handle than XC, less mid bend than TR Blue, and not as stout overall as Ventus Black.

I love the 'Tiger Stick'! I hit 250+ easily with the regular stock shaft. I would go for 7s 1/2" tipped, which I believe was standard for their stock shafts.

Feel wise of the DI you'll like the feel of VF but yes all of those other are going to launch and spin quite a big higher than VF

I'd say it's a tweener between the TR Blue and OG/TR Black.  It feels very linear with a slight bend in the handle which is typical of a white board profile.  TR Blue bend was lower towards the mid section.  Launch/spin are similar to the TR Blue however as it definitely launches a little higher than the Black.  I also found the VF to be more stable than the TR Blue however, my dispersion pattern was a little wider compared to the OG/TR Black.  VF is miles smoother than either TR Blue or  OG/TR Black though.

I was gonna go XC 6x but I know eventually that soft handle will feel a bit odd. I think VF is still a “GD shaft” based on what you’ve said. That’s what appeals to me most.

Ugh - no VF upgrade option at TaylorMade yet for the new QI10's.  I had my fingers crossed, but no dice this morning.

It would probably be at after market level of price as an upgrade anyways. So you'd save money by getting the driver with a "free" shaft, selling that shaft, then getting the VF yourself.

Ehh, not really sure this is true. With Callaway, the VF is only a $250 upcharge. Same with TaylorMade on the other, available Graphite Design shafts. Ping’s upcharge for a lot of Graphite Design shafts is $213. Those are pretty nice discounts.

Sure, I was just guessing based on the ventus velocore shaft costing almost the same on my "local" site regardless if bought seperate or as an upgrade with qi10

Ah gotcha, yeah true, Callaway and TaylorMade don’t really offer much off Ventus shafts unfortunately. Ping does. I think Cobra and Cleveland do, too.

$350 upcharge for the Ventus Velocore offerings at TM, which is actually more than I've paid for new Ventus shafts here.  $250 upcharge on all the Graphite Design shafts.  I haven't priced the VF from vendors here yet, but it looks like the prevailing after market rate is $380 right now.

 

I might just wait until TM starts offering the VF, rather than impulse buying with a different shaft today.

It's definitely still a signature GD shaft but has a stiffer handle compared to the more modern GD offerings.

It was definitely curious to me, given Tiger's involvement, that the VF wasn't a custom option on the TM website at launch.  Probably just an accident.

Took the plunge on the VF-6 S in the new Ai Smoke Max, slightly out of my comfort zone with the stiffer handle but worth a shot. Now the wait begins to get it in hand, always the worst part.
