Can you upload your own symbol on the my symbol ball deal? And if so how do I do it because I want to also take advantage of the deal with my first responder discount.

I think you can but I would email customer service because there is probably a minimum order amount of at least 12dz to do a custom symbol/logo.

So the my logo is just choose a logo they have on their website and that’s it then.

Not necessarily, you can order custom logo golf balls from all manufacturers with the logo being stamped on the sides of the ball. There is usually a 12dz minimum to do this. However, with the my logo program they may be able to stamp the logo where the manufacturer is. Call customer service and ask them if you can use a custom symbol.

You can do so on golfballs.com and choose "photo" which will allow you to upload an image such as your logo.

Just played a round with the tp5x promo pack (thank you tm!).

Compared to the previous tp5x and the pro v1x, it launched lower and had less spin on irons and wedges.

Got a chance to hit several drivers and long irons with each ball and it was consistently longer vs the others. Definitely saw a difference in wedge spin. Pro v1x is my regular ball and I was seeing less check and less pull back with the new tp5x.

Biggest surprise is how soft it felt. Softest feeling of the 3 balls. Had to double check I grabbed the tp5x and not the tp5.

Is the TP5 the closest TM ball to the PRO V1?

Yep.  In terms of feel and flight.  TP5 spins a bit more though.

Ok so verdict after 1 round is that the TP5x is solid. Feel is pretty soft (to me) on irons and wedges and seems pretty hot off driver. Only thing I don’t love is that the driver launch seems to be even higher than usual which is no bueno for me. Looks to have plenty of nip around the green though. We will see. I’ll play a few more rounds with it once my swing is dialed in to see if I continue with it.  Might go back to my trusty Bridgestone BX.

Thanks. How about distance? The 21 TP5 was the shortest ball I've ever tried.

For me the TP5 and the ProV1 were pretty close on distance with the TP5 spinning more and feeling softer. But I am a low spin player and the spin helps me.

Titleist and TM do their balls backwards. For titleist. the firmer ball is higher spinning but TM is backwards.

So if you want the softer ball that is low spinning (which I assume by you asking for distance) I would test the Callaway Chrome Tour. If you want a little more spin than the ProV1 try the TP5.

Tried the tp5x ball today, I quite like it. Some concern over durability - I’ve had pro v1s last 3/4 rounds no issues. This had a big shred mark off one light brush with a branch.

I’ll certainly give the ball another chance once it’s a bit drier, it’s wet through round here currently. However the short game control was much better than previous tp5x I’ve tried. A chip in and numerous taps ins from difficult positions is something I’m not used to with a tp5x.

2024 is much improved over 2021 ball, but I still think 2019 was the best.  With 2024 I’m sure it’s just me, but off my driver the ball kind of falls out of the air, almost like a really steep angle of descent.  It isn’t a spin issue as my quad reads my normal spin and launch.  Off my longer irons I’m seeing the ball drift at the very end of its flight, something I don’t see in the Prov1 or the CSX.  Launch monitor numbers are solid, but when in air it does some weird stuff for me.  Going to keep trying it, but four rounds in it doesn’t seem promising.

I found this with my driver too. I was hitting the ball really well and it was falling 10-15 yards behind my playing partners when tho I am usually slightly longer than they are. I can only put it down to the ball as it didn't happen with my Pro V1X. I have got some Chrome Tour to try as I want a softer ball this year so will see how that works out

All these reviews are so interesting to me.  I’ve been just the opposite, I’m usually a little shorter than my playing partners, but when I stated hitting the new TP5X, I was right with them or a touch longer. As I previously posted, one is a mini tour/asian tour guy and he switched to it from his ProV1.   Durability was better than the left dash and around the greens is perfect for me.

It seems to fall further in the direction that it was moving. I play a small fade a stock shot and the flight up to Apex is what I’d expect, but as the ball is descending it seems to move more than I would have expected. Not sure if I’m describing it well. I’ve played the CSX and the Prov1X and alongside the TP5x and didn’t notice this at all

I’m a low spin guy but have no issues spinning the tp5x round the green. So that’s getting some extended testing for me

My driver speed was 95-100mph when I was fit last year but I’m usually a shade lower than 2K spin and I’m +4 AoA. Always struggled holding greens but when my coach has increased my spin through clubs, swing changes etc it hasn’t helped.

I previously used pro v1 and loved it, but wanted to try the tp5x as I’d heard good things and I’m having zero issues stopping this ball on the green with irons and short game. I’m finding it much easier to control than the pro v1 when it shouldn’t suit me.

To me the TP5x and PROV1 are more similar than what is written.....tp5x launches and flies higher but from that point they're lower spin than their brethren ( prov1x and TP5) with me needing spin, I'm auditioning the higher spin offerings with TP5 being in the lead .....I'm low 80s mid 90s with driver ; 7i 150 club

My issue with tp5 in the past was I always found it short compared to other balls and I’m not blessed for distance - my 7i is only 163 carry. My normal ball is the current pro v1, haven’t tried the x yet (I plan to) but previous iterations of the X since 2019 when it became the higher spinning ball haven’t suited me for the same reason, it went high with spin and came up shorter than the pro v1 and it badly impacted my driving. Any extra spin seems to knock my driving sideways even though I’m not a high spin player.

The tp5x should not suit me, I should be using something higher spin but based on the first two rounds it deserves longer testing.

They did something different with this TP5 ......at least to me as I saw the same issues with previous gens .....VERY SHORT for me ....yet the 2024 ball has kept my drives in same vicinity with better feel than v1x .....slightly higher flight than std v1 but unaffected by the wind.....only got 2 rds under my belt and will continue testing and adding comments......

Didnt realize (or forgot) there were 2 TP5/x threads...Posted this in the other one:

Finally got to play yesterday in Ohio.  50* or so.  Had both the TP5 and TP5x with me (the freebies from TM).  I have to say, I was shocked, but was very impressed with the TP5.  Ive always been an 'X' player in Pro V1x or TP5x, but the regular TP5 was really good.  Driver flight was a middle of the road and I was getting them out there 275ish in the cool heavy air, straight as an arrow.  Irons were on par with prior years offerings and performance.  Check on the short game is great, I had to actually start adjust and hit closer to the pin as I was getting great check.  Putting was fine - nothing wrong with the sound or feel for me.

Playing partner on hole 13 commented he loved the sound off the short irons and wedges I was getting with the combo.

I started off the round alternating shots with the 2 offerings.  By the 4th hole I bagged the TP5x and played the rest of the round with the TP5.

First round of 2024 in the books.  40-40.  No warmup (range wasnt open), 50*, and only 2 range sessions in 2024 so far.  Missed a couple putts and the short game, which is usually pretty good for me, wasnt sharp and I left myself some ugly putts for par saves, which I missed.  I will have that sorted out soon enough.

But the TP5 really did perform well for me yesterday.  Very impressed.

Speaking of Ohio, my wife is from the Columbus area, more specifically Chilicothe.  I got a chance to play Cook's Creek and Muirfield years ago.  I plan on going back back this fall and hopefully can get a round or two while she's visiting family.  Where you at?

Jumping back in having played a few full rounds with TP5X now, and I’m now totally settled on it as my ball going forward.

Last couple of rounds I have played recently the aspect I’ve been most impressed by is my poor strikes still remaining very playable for my next shot. TP5X holds lines really well when you need it, but is also just workable enough to create shape with your best strikes too.

Distance. Feel. Better than expected wedge/ATG spin control. My first Taylormade ball in the bag ever!
