2024 Footjoy shoes, some surprise changes?

Not in Canada unfortunately....

Love how shoe companies don't believe Canadians need a Wide shoe.

FJ has a few models but not all colours. I wanted to try the new UA for example and had to order wide from the US.

Sometimes I end up on the US sites without realizing and am amazed at the selection that is available to them but not to us...

Looks like they are already sold out other than 7.5 for the Field LX. I've been a long time Nike wearer in the past but converted to FJ the last couple of seasons and love them, but haven't followed any drops. Will they add more inventory eventually for these or do I have to go scour Ebay for some reseller looking to make a quick buck?

just wait a few weeks and you can get a pair close to retail.  I had an extra pair of the metalwoods i couldn't get rid of.  These aren't substantially different than last years model (IMO) and sat on the website for long enough to get a pair.

Yes!!! Very frustrating. Have made a trip, or used re-ship in the past from US retailers. Or paid out the a** for shipping/Duty!

No talk (from what I didn't find) about the Blucher?  I'm seriously considering it to add to my already 12 pair of golf shoes.

Not familiar w/ FJ shoes.  Come from Nike, G/Fore, Payntr.

Thanks for posting that.

I just wish they’d make a shoe shaped less like a dress shoe and more like an actual foot.  I don’t know about anyone else but my big toe is not in the middle.

This gripe of course applies to many brands.  But I feel FJ has become the worst offender.

I loved the premieres for a couple seasons, but agree that everything about them was way to dress shoe oriented. Hard bottoms, sharp sides, heavier soles (imo), and shaping. I went to the Gfore galivanters and I will not be back. They have tons of options in the dress style, but wear more like a tennis shoe to me. If you haven't give them a shot, they are so incredibly comfortable.

Yeah I do agree that the premieres are great shoes but very dress shoe like and hard to walk in. I have a couple gallivanters that I really like and a couple tw13 pairs I wear as well.

Someone mentioned the blucher - I just bought a pair of traditions to try out has anyone been wearing these? I tried on last year and seemed like a decent looking lighter option.

I picked up a pair of the white Blucher with the brick-colored soles. IMO, it's a GREAT looking shoe. Exactly as I was hoping it would look. Very clean lines (read: very few lines). I haven't worn them yet (it's too wet here, and I don't want to mess them up right off the bat if I can avoid it), but I look forward to my first round in them.

With premieres, does anyone else find the toe box incredibly narrow? Feels like my toes are being pinched together. This was when I tried the packards. Do they break in and pack out a decent amount or is this just how they are? And are the fields better given they don’t have the V-throat closure like the packards?

They're definitely a very narrow toe box, the Fields have the most space and I believe the Tarlow has the least. I wore a semi broken in pair of Packards for a 54 hole golf weekend and couldn't feel my left big toe for 3 months after.

Thanks for the info. Genuinely confused why all my playing partners have premieres and wear them religiously then. I actually have narrow feet and yet they feel so tight in the toes. Who are these made for if not for narrow foot golfers? Ugh

Some it fits, some don't know any better, maybe some don't mind. But the ones that do it's annoying, I still have a pair, I may try them again because they're so stable but I have others I'm happy with.

Would be nice to see some traditional style shoes with a wider toe box but that's wishful thinking.

Yes they are definitely narrow. In fact I would say they are almost one full width off. The medium are like narrow, wide are more like medium, and X wide are more like wide. I was gifted a pair of Fields in XW and I had to soak them in hot water for hours then use shoe stretchers to even get them to fit.

Looks like more significant changes that expected in 2024 from footjoy, ProSl models all appear to be replaces by proslx range, some new colourways in packards, and field. New fuel model etc. quite. Quite a change if standard prosl is gone, but it adds up as they have been on sale with big reductions in all stores in Europe this summer.

My Packards and Flint fit great and are my go-to golf shoe now. I think i like the packards a bit more than the flint.

whats the census about wearing FJ Premiers with Shorts?
