Find a PXG fitter near by and go for a fitting, they're like $25 right now.

Just a super disappointing shaft selection!🫠

The fitters have a larger shaft selection than what's online. They want people in store to get fit.

I went into the PXG for a fit and they didn’t have any of the shafts I wanted in X flex. Or are you talking like a Club Champion?

Looks like it's down to Srixon or PXG. I'll have to hit a set of each and see before I do anything drastic. Still unsure if I want to sell my ST Pros or just keep them but, I think the shafts are what's holding me back.

Go retro. These remain the purest feeling irons I’ve ever played. Hands down. Not my cup of tea these days but for those looking for true feeling gamers, these are sa-weeeeet. 🤌

I've recently picked up a set of Titleist 735.CMs. I meant to get the stainless version to do a simple restore on them, but got the carbon chrome ones instead. Needless to say I'm happy I did. Ive used these for my last 3 rounds and I'm really loving how these feel. As I hit them decently well, I don't feel like I'm as good a ball striker yet to play them permanently, so im looking for a players (distance) iron that has a similar soft feel, or as close to as you can get. Not looking for straight up blades.

I've also recently changed shafts in my irons and it completely changed my iron play for the better.

So instead of swapping my Rogue St Pro shafts (for now), was thinking of just picking up another set with a different set of shafts.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

PXG Gen6 P or XP...soft feel and great performance.

I'm just seeing that Srixon has a Combo Set Builder tool on their website!!? 😯

I've been wishing for more companies to do this.

I may check that out too.

Not in the camp that cares all that much about how soft irons feel as long as they’re in a range I like. Softness is so individual, I just go with like or dislike. Plenty of Ping irons I like the feel of, plenty of forged clubs I don’t like the feel of.

PXG CB and Srixon ZX7 are both worthy nominees but if I were testing those I definitely hit the PXG 0317T. Feels excellent and the performance on mishits is strong. Noticeably more helpful on off-center hits vs the other two. Of the heads I have hit it is the best looking and best feeling hollow “players iron” out there. If I didn’t know it was filled I would have guessed it is not.

Agreed on the PXG 0317.....I have the STs and they are very nice

I see you're a big pxg fan! I love my 0317 CBs. Have 2 sets. How do the ST compare? Do they feel similar? I actually ended up not really liking the 0317T. Still think the CB feel worlds better.

Any proper forged 1-piece is going to give you the feel you want.

If you are looking for players cavity backs, several of the JDM options are probably worth looking at:  Kyoei CB, Epon AF Tour CB and 302,  On/Off Kuro, Bridgestone, Vega VDC/VSC

I left Miura off this list because (in my experience) Miura felt awesome but I wouldnt describe them as soft.

My vote is Srixon Z785 or any the 7xx series irons. i can hear the crispness when im on.

Played many irons and current ZX7 are the best feeling IMO. They have a crisp sound and buttery feel.  Miura MC501's felt great but more muted thuddy.

Hadn't seen them mentioned yet, but the New Level irons are as soft as any Endo forging I've ever hit.  The 902 OS might match what you're looking for and they have a good selection of shaft options.  Build quality has always been top notch.

This. I built a set of 902 pd with catalyst 100 6.5 ssx2 and they are as good as anything I have ever tried.

I play Mizuno irons also and I have to agree - their legendary softness is vastly overhyped.   I've hit plenty of other irons that feel just as soft.  I still find Mizuno to be the most accurate for me, and I like the shape of their smaller irons.

Wilson Staff CB's are up there, and you can get a new set on the bay right now for around $500.

This!!   I'm not good enough to play players irons, but I hit them all from our demo and fitting carts, and the Wilson CB's are not only the best feeling of all them but are quite playable for me as well.

Most irons have that thing in the middle, but the overall feeling of a Mizuno is unmatched to me. That grain flow really is something else.
