Anti-left 225 yard hybrid

If you carry a 4-iron 215-225 yards...... keep it.

Hybrids of 21* loft or higher are designed for players who dot not have  the swing speed to hit high trajectory long iron shots.

I hit my 4iron 215, switched it out last year for a hybrid and will never look back.

18 degree Cleveland hy-wood is a bomber that wants to go straight. Open the face a bit and cuts. You CAN draw it if you are way  inside, but a high hands on plane swing will go straight and long with a smooth swing. Longer shaft than a hybrid and a bigger/ taller face. Best of both worlds. However you might hit it farther than 225…

What do you not like about your current 4i? You’re already considerably longer with that vs the avg PGA Tour pro so I’m guessing you’re not wanting more distance. More spin? Higher descent angle?

more consistant and being able to play it into long par 3's and some par 5's would be ideal for me.

Given the perimeters you provide, don't think your swing is in sync with the goal of being more consistent.  It's not so much the club head that causes left or a 220 to 250 spread, it's the shaft, playing length combined with swing.

Its crazy sometimes it a bullet like a 3 wood and other its nice and high.   It has the graphite design Tour AD F shaft set to play at 41.5 inch length

"Anti-left hybrid" is an oxymoron.

All hybrids I've ever owned have gone whichever direction I swing them.

If you can find older Adams Super 9031 heads on ebay in the loft you're looking for, those are hard to beat.  They are small with a great shape to them, and very forgiving.  They are also workable if you want to work them.  Play it at iron length with a heavier shaft, and they're pretty close to point and shoot.

I've had my 23* Super 9031 for a long time now, and I can't find anything to replace it.  I had a s300 iron shaft in it for a long time, and currently have a Recoil 110 Prototype Utility shaft in it.  I recently got my hands on a 23* Adams LSP to see if that one launches a little higher for me, now that I'm getting closer to 40.  Any of the Adams Pro would bee good too, along with Callaway Apex Pro and Taylormade hybrids after they acquired Adams.

I still use my TSi2 18 degree turned down to 17. Now my 220-230 yarder is my 3w as I don't have your speed but I think a 18-19 degree hybrid would fit the bill. TSr2 or 3 would probably work.

Now unlike many here, I don't believe that hyrbids are hook machines, it's about how you swing them like any other club. Yes if I get too agressive I too hook them, but generally speaking its just about my tempo being correct.

In my fast tempo experience, if the desire is to NOT go left, change the shaft to a stiffer version.  Might cost a yard or two, but the ball will be where your swing aims.

Old and cheap, Titleist 818H series with heavy weight in toe. Best I have ever had as far as anti left.

Hybrids in stock form are designed for avg joe golfer that is a slower swing speed players as long iron replacements. This type of player also tends to hit a slice. Therefore, in stock configuration, a lot of hybrids will go left for a faster swinger, or someone with a more aggressive tempo, or someone that is already neutral to inside delivery.

Here are some reasons stock hybrids might go left:

1. The stock shaft is a wet noodle and probably too light. The stock shafts on hybrids are almost universally terrible for a higher swing speed /aggressive tempo player. Going heavier and/or stiffer will likely help a lot of left misses.

2. The lie angle is too upright. If not getting fit for a hybrid, I think the best "guess" you can make is to buy one that is either already flat lie angle (Mizuno) or get one that can be adjusted flatter (Titleist, Ping, PXG?)

3. Some hybrids are going to be internally weighted to be draw biased. Try to find something that is weighted neutral or where weight can be adjusted to the toe (TSR3). I believe PING has stated in the past couple of models that they specifically engineered the longer hybrids at the top end to be weighted to not go left.

4. Ball position. You might change your delivery with a hybrid based on the shape, or thinking it's more like a wood than an iron, the shaft might be too long.... or for whatever reason. Tinker with ball position. Also be conscious if you are trying to help the ball in the air by sweeping, your path might be coming in way more from the inside and shallow.

Hello Fellow Wrx's.  I am looking for suggestions for an anti-left 4-5 hybrid to replace 4 iron that i can carry 215-225.  I have yet to find a hybrid i can hit that does not go left. 13ish handicap.  I have a sim 7 wood that either goes 220 or 250 so need something more consistent

Hybrids don't hit hooks; golfers swinging hybrids hit hooks.

I like the TSR3 because you can move weight towards the toe. Also consider a shorter/heavier shaft that gets it playing closer to a long iron than a fairway wood.

I second this and its exactly what I did.

I dropped 4i and replaced with a TSR3 5h. This hybrid is quick so id recommend 5h to replace 4i. My 4i is typically 215ish carry but the 5h is consistent 223 - 230 and fits gap better

I have weight all the way in the toe and in the C1 setting (most fade bias.) Also I went with a KBS Tour Prototype Hybrid 105 S+ and 1" short

yep, just got my 5H TSR3 24* to replace 4 iron. I also have it in C1 with weight all the way in the toe with IZ 95x.

Previously had a "4 hybrid" that went too far for that gap between 5 wood and 5 iron, it was much too close to the 5 wood.

Callaway Apex Pro, only hybrid I've ever liked. Small profile and has some fade biased internal weighting

+1. Never got along with a hybrid until this one. Small profile, sets up very square, lie from the factory is relatively flat and it's bendable. I play the 20* with a Tensei Pro White 90TX. Perfect 230-235 carry club for me and I have to really try to get it to hook.

Do you find that the flat -1° setting makes the ping look open? I really want to like it but when I look at them in stores they look pretty closed to me

I would say to my eye it sits slightly open at that setting.

I’m jumping on with a few others about the TSR3. So many configurations possible with the loft/lie to tweak shot shape plus the movable weight in the bottom. It’s the best hybrid I’ve ever played.
Also second/third what @halfsumo and @JoeFrigo said - try both the 4h and 5h to see which fits the distance and flight you’re looking for. They went about the same carry distance in my testing; just different ball flights.

+1 TSR3 4h. Instant gapping solution for me (dropped the 4i). I also remain pleasantly surprised with how the Tensei Black 1K slotted comfortably into my bouquet of shafts through the bag (AD-XC (Dr), Ventus Blue TR (3w), AD-DI (5w), DG X100).

Had initially leaned towards G430 4h but too low spin. Plus, just did not want to have to upgrade the shaft, having not been a fan of stock Ping options historically.
