Curious if any experts know what driver and driver shaft he is rocking this week?

Sim2 driver and I'd bet he's still playing with the Mitsubishi Diamana D+ Limited shaft he's used forever.

He just doesn’t care for the Srixon driver or fwys.  I wonder how long his current is with them?

I love that he uses srixon irons. Huge fan. But honestly, I’m surprised he hasn’t switched to a set of 923 yours considering how great he played when he was gaming those 919 tour.

lol I know, I understand that. But I’d imagine they can leave a company if they had prior success with another brand. It was just an observation.

He's had recent success with the Srixon irons as well. But with Brooks it seems like his biggest issues are usually which woods are working best for him at the moment and sometimes ball.

Surprised I guess he's going back to a 4 year old driver when there's been a few models since then.

 

Maybe he's worried about the face falling off?

Or maybe he hits it well and knows that technology hasn't come so far in 4 years

Brooks had 4 majors with Jpx irons and 1 since he went to srixon. I’m not saying it’s only because of the irons lol just was making a point was all.

He's been deadly with his irons and is relatively a good ball striker with his driver.  However, his left knee is what's plagued him for a better part of over 2 years in the past.  Looks like he's gotten over that.  He seems to be a streaky putter though.  The weeks where his putter heats up are usually the tournaments he either wins or places in the top 5.

Considering that the D-Limited is pretty old and so is the M2, it's not surprising that he's still got the SIM 2 in the bag.  He's always played what he's been comfortable with even back when he started his career on the Euro Tour.  He's mentioned that he's a feel player first and foremost.

He was hurt almost the whole time he played the Srixons.  And i mean REALLY hurt.  Apparently, his right knee injury was gnarly.

Yeah for sure. A lot of factors! Just thought he was a beast with those Tours. He’s a great ball striker.

He has unlimited access to whatever heads he wants. The Sim2 is, IMO, the best TM driver of the last many years. It does spin a touch more which he likely enjoys.

I found it interesting that he’s playing a 9 degree head in the sim 2 when he’s notorious for playing a 10.5

Funny to ask what shaft he has in the d, as he’s had the Diamana in there for what feels like forever!

 

Therefore the answer is: Same ones he’s rocked for the last 10 (just a guess) years! 😂

Didn't he win the PGA with the Srixon ZX5 LS driver?   I know he never left the Nike iron and TM fairway.

They just said on the liv broadcast that he broke his (sim 2) driver head this morning, and his back up is "an older head with the wrong shaft"... so who knows what he'll play going forward.

I am came here to say almost exactly this. Some of us are more like Adam Scott where the new shiny each week is a desire that maybe this next thing is going to be our new career low maker.  Brooks is a lot different.  Plays a Nike driving iron from ~2015, uses a 7-8 year old driver shaft and fairway wood, his putter is a throwback to the late 90s with some minor modern tech, and has always played irons that are seen as more forgiving than for what many think he should be using based on how good he is. 

 

I think to him he just doesn't care too much unless there is a big improvement in some area of the game he feels like he is lacking in.

I'm interested in why his backup didn't have the same shaft he always uses, and has used for years?  Why have a back-up if it's not usable?

Looks like the newer finish D-LIMITED 60 TX with the Ion finish, hes been gaming this one for a while now, since he switched out of the 70g older graphic version
