What putter are you gaming in 2024

I've fallen back in like with my Ping 2021 DS 72. I've never used a more forgiving, smoother rolling putter. I am going to put a KBS CT Tour shaft in it which should provide a little firmer feel and even better control.

I'm using a PING Fetch for sure to start the season. However, I picked up an old Redwood Zing that might make an appearance this year for some nostalgic fun.

LAB DF3 counterbalanced...hopefully less than 5 weeks from now.

For the first time in about 20 years, I own one and only one putter. A 37" LAB DF3 counterbalanced. Sold all my Camerons and don't plan on purchasing any more. I'll probably look back on this in a year and shake my head, but as of right now I am all in on this one.

The 2021 DS 72 has a plumber neck.

Im sticking with my PXG BR Bat Attack. Ive used it the last couple seasons and its exceeded my expectations. Ended up getting a free fitting for it back when I got my first iron set there(gen4). I had them throw an M16 shaft in it this off season. Really like it so far inside but anxious to get it out on the course and hit some longer putts with it.

Really depends on the course I play and how fast the greens are. The putter I play the most is a 2003 Scotty Cameron Studio Stainless Newport 1.5 Prototype. It sets up beautifully to my eye and is slightly lighter which works for me on faster greens.

There are a couple courses I play that have greens that are a bit slower, and my 1998 Scotty Cameron Teryllium Santa Fe works great for me. It's a good bit heavier and I don't have to change my putting style to get the ball to roll out more on those slower greens.

Also mix in a 2000 Scotty Pro Platinum Mid Slant from time to time. It's between the other two in terms of weight with a slightly different look and toe hang for when I need a change.

I'm playing the Odyssey 7 T CH after being fit into it. I tended to be inconsistent in my aiming with my putters in the past and decided something needed to be fixed going into this year.

I love it.

Been dying to switch to a more forgiving mallet putter and was deadset on a LAB putter.  Honestly struggled with it a bit and ended up deciding that a Scotty Phantom X 5.5 is going in the bag to start the year.

This. Tried a few different putters last year, but nothing could knock it out of the bag. The only thing I will be experimenting with this season on the greens is a Scotty Newport 2+. Want to test one on long putts outside now that the weather is warming up.

Scotty Cameron Futura 5w.  Got it in a trade back in 2021 and I think it’s the best putter I ever had.  That year, I decided to upgrade from my ORIGINAL Odyssey White Hot 2-ball that I had been playing since I was like 13 years old.  I spent $75 on eBay and bought a Rife Raider X double wide, and then did a series of trades that went as follows:  Rife Raider X -> Odyssey Stroke Lab One (HATED) -> Odyssey Stroke Lab Marxman -> Odyssey Toulon Chicago -> Scotty.  So I essentially turned $75 plus a bunch of shipping fees for trades into a Scotty.

The gamer got an upgrade last week, with a BGT shaft and opted for the Garsen Tour Pistol TPE. Tried giving the PP58 Mid Cord a good go but just needed something a bit thicker for my hands and my hands settle much quicker and comfortably with this grip.

Now just need to courses to open up.

The rubber quads are so nice. Don’t see myself moving out of my rubber quad taper in my Mack any time soon.

They are definitely really liking this right now as my favorite Garsen grip but will have to see how it lasts this year. Also if they can come out with a corded version of this grip I'd go wild regripping putters.

Center shaft PXG Battle Ready II Bat Attack. Upgraded to the M16 shaft and put a red star golf pride cord grip on. In true WRX form I sold off all of my other putters and told myself I will only use 1 putter in '24. First round of the year locally is tomorrow so here goes nothing 🤣

I started the year with the Scotty 5W in the bag, like it's been for about 2-3 years. Had the 7x before that.

Pulled it, understanding that whatever I'm putting in the bag might take some serious getting used to.

Am waiting on the LAB DF3 to arrive, have an EVNROLL ER2 and a Bettinardi BB32 to play with in the mean time.

Slapping the ball around a bit, having loads of fun.
