Premium Alignment Sticks

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to upgrade my alignment sticks.  I've been using orange snow markers for a few years, but I'm itching to try something nicer.  How are people getting along with Bubbawhips?  I saw some reports of them distorting over time.  Are there any new brands out there I should consider?

Looking around I see Miura makes some really nice looking ones.  Has anybody ordered those?  It appears they are from Hazy Sticks.  First I'm hearing of that company.

I would be curious to hear how the weight of the wood sticks compares to the fiberglass ones from anyone that's used both.

Alignment sticks are NOT performance oriented, least that I am aware of.  It simply lies on or sticks in the ground and holds a head cover when called upon. LOL

Who said anything about performance?  I'd like something nicer in my bag than the fiberglass poles I drive my snowblower around.

I hadn't considered weight, but lighter would be nicer when carrying.  It looks like the density of hickory is less than half of fiberglass.

I'm sure any wood alignment stick will warp over time unless laid flat when not in your golf bag but for a brand to look at there is Toledo Stick Company.

I’ve had Bubba Whips and while they’ve held up okay, not sure I’d buy them again. If you ask me, a couple of raw uncut Ventus Black or Auto Flex shafts would be the most premium alignment sticks I could think of. Might be able to find some broken ones at the tip for cheap but still give off that premium vibe.

Jeepers.  I wouldn't have figured this would have solicited such responses.  I use snowblower driveway marking poles, have for years, said hey I wonder what would look nicer in my bag.  Guys routinely spend hundreds on head covers, thousands on putters, and untold amounts on clubs.  I ask for opinions on nicer alignment sticks and well....congrats internet.  You've sufficiently taken the fun out of this endeavor.

Thanks for the help, those that did.

But, could a 4 handicapper that practices with ultra-high end, carbon fiber, pured and tipped alignment sticks beat Nelly Korda? 🙂

After I pay for Carbon Fiber brakes on my P-car can't afford carbon fiber pured tipped alignment sticks, but maybe on a good day????

I use a ruined ventus velocore - about as premium as of an alignment stick as I've ever seen on the range

All my clubs are high end. Like some others, I use the cheap fiberglass markers from Home Depot. I was actually shocked when I saw what the likes of the Titleist and Vessel sticks sell for. Sometimes I use my sticks for drills like the one pictured below. If I set it up for a really slim tolerance and get really lazy and make an awful swing, I will contact the stick. Would def not be comfortable/happy if I smacked a $30 or $75 version and broke it. But far be it from me to judge anyone that chooses to get em.

Do you have Decathlon sports stores in US?

Here, they have a pair of yellow folding sticks for about $7.... and as a bonus no need to buy stick covers, just fold and put in a golf bag side pocket

This made me chuckle ...... you can even have them tipped and gripped to swap between your woods hahah

Still i understand that OP and others do want customized gear or things that match their style. More power to them and cool that there are so many choices that seem to make high-quality stuff.

If you're in the 'blow that dough' mode here's another item to waste your money on, golf tees. I use the TaylorMade GPS app on my Apple Watch and I guess as a promo they sent me a couple small sample bags of tees. They have the TaylorMade logo on the tees but are made by a company called Tour Tee. Looked them up online and they sell a bag of 20 tees for $45. Been golfing for almost 50 years and doubt I've spent that much on tees in total during that time. They are good tees, almost indestructible, will probably lose them before they break.
