Check out the new Toulon Austin that's coming out.  I may rather have that than an 009 at the same price.  Cleaner and oil can looking finish

The OTR NP special select is closer to a 009 than the Spieth limited model.

That one especially had a lot of people shaking their heads.

Might want to look at a cameron mil spec or pro platinum they are pretty close to 009 if you didn’t want an Oilcan.

10-15 years ago. DH89 is the only viable alternative. There are so many options nowadays. Some are OTR, some are custom ordered.

@Medson is absolutely correct, there are definitely several alternatives.  With Byron Morgan passing away, DH89s are harder to come by and can only be found in the secondary market, at a premium compared to what they once were.  LaMont Mann (Mann Krafted Putters) makes a terrific version.  I would definitely consider LaMont.

I've got a couple of Ping Ansers and an old Mil Spec in my stash which are probably worth 5% of the price of a 009 together.

 

Both the Ansers would pass for Jordan Spieth's putter from the other side of the green.

+1 MA66 by Lamont is nearly identical to  DH89 and 009 without the price tag and more personal craftsmanship.

Keep an eye out for a Cleveland TA 1 milled- very close to a 009. Getting tough to find them in good shape though.

Is this Cleveland TA Milled that you mentioned = from the Ken Giannini collab?

 

I have this "Cleveland Classics KG1 Milled" ... looks more like a flanged bullseye / Coronado-style?

I never got around to ordering a DH89 from Byron before his passing (I kick myself every day over it).  I did have him make me a 612 though.
However, you are right about ordering a 009-style head from LaMont.  His MA/66 is a terrific version of the 009.
I have the first MA/66 that LaMont made out of his first batch of 50.

Please.  These guys don’t take these to a course to physically play them.  Most just take 500 pictures on the putting green with the sunset in the background... then head home to post it on social media.

My 009 has a 1/2 inch extension, a $12 grip, and a strip of lead tape.  
 

I flirt with others all the time, but always come back to it…
 

I think if you’re going to pony up the ducats, you gotta game it, take good care of it, and only park it if it’s acting up but never sell it.  
 

I guess I’ll edit - I was gallery fit before the pandemic.  It’s MY 009….
