Awesome tournament.  It’s so cool the ladies get to play here.

 

Prob an unpopular opinion but I don’t like getting an early peek at Augusta.  I always loved the anticipation of seeing it unveiled at the Masters.

It's odd ... I have no idea who any of these young ladies are, but every year they make this event interesting.

 

Of course there is also the chance to see Augusta itself.

Not seeing much color. I’m about 1-1/2 hours north and my azaleas are peaking. Pretty sure the Masters arbor experts can control this somewhat with chemicals.

How about some sort of climate control, e.g. a mini-greenhouse. A bit like forcing strawberries in the U.K.

That was some quality golf by Shoemaker, Woad, and a number of the other young ladies. Those kinds of rounds at AN are no joke. Clemente's putt on 16 as Bones pointed out is not something you will pretty much ever get to see dropped. Koo with multiple eagles.

 

Birdie at 18 to win is about as good as it gets... but then Annika's there to congratulate you as well, hah. Really awesome to see the crowd support.

 

I'm not sure what happens between Jr/Collegiate golf and the pro level but please get the professional women some of what the ladies this week have in their water. So much more expressive out there than the Tour norms most weeks and great to see.

Best golf I've watched this weekend, and the course looked spectacular!  I was rooting for Bailey Shoemaker, but Lottie Woad would not be denied. These girls could putt!  I will even watch the Drive/Chip/Putt this morning & probably see some future PGA/LPGA winners.

I think Annika and Condi Rice were invited to be the first women members a few years ago, before the start of the ANWA

Annika just became a member last October. Condoleeza Rice and Darla Moore, a South Carolina philanthropist, became the club's first female members in 2012. 

 

Co-chair of the Pebble Beach Co. Heidi Uebberoth, former USGA president Diana Murphy, former IBM CEO Ginna Romerty, and executive chairman of the Santanna Group Ana Botin are also members.

It's possible that the final group was on the clock, but didn't have any bad times to incur a penalty. It's also possible that they were delayed for a ruling, in which case they'd be allowed time to get back into position.

 

Anna's group was on the clock, and got a warning before another bad time triggered the penalty.

From what I've seen watching college golf on TV, players are pretty much allowed to play as slow as they want
