Adam Scott giving it a whirl is expected. Cantlay switching is always surprising. Recently moved to the TSR series and now quickly into the GT. Maybe it is just plug and play with enough improvement for the guys to swap.

Homa was in the 1k Black for a while with the TSr. He is now using the 24' Ventus Velo Blue in the GT. I wonder how all the spin numbers will play out with the GT 3 weight track forward—possibly creating a more significant overlap between the GT 3 and 4.

Totally agree with this.  Cantlay switching is big praise for the new internal tech they have designed.

I’m a Mizuno fan, and play 245s, but they sell about 12 drivers a year. Nobody is going to change what they want to do with their new driver aesthetics based on what Mizuno does.

I just noticed that. I also just noticed that they flipped the weights completely 180° compared to the r4. That’s going to make it perform much better.

11* GT3 is what I’m going to order.  I’ve got an 11* TSi3 that I got along great with.  Have a 10* TSR3 that was great until I switched into the Chrome Tour ball.  No longer have enough spin with the TSR3 so went back to the TSi3 for now.  As long as GT3 plays like the last two 3 series releases then the 11* should be a perfect fit for me.

I hit some bb bombs with R4 yesterday in Velo+.  Almost too low - 9deg. I’m holding off buying a 10deg to see these.  Maybe I shouldn’t complain, dry day 300 yds. But you knows 🙂.

The GT4 looks smaller than 460cc.  If so, that would be the one for me.  All models look sweet.

It is smaller.  If it’s like the TSR4 it will be 430cc.

I love my TRs3 but scared the weight forward with the GT3 might change it big time.

 

Thinking GT2 is in my future.....

Exactly. The TS4 and TSr4 were both 430cc and the TSi4 was 425cc so it would be a safe bet for the GT4 to be in a similar range.

Gt3 seems to be pretty low spin with the track forward.  players that play it are lofted a degree up from previous tsr

I took me 14-15 years to upgrade my driver and fairway wood. Can't believe anything other than a marginal improvement over the TSRs. They have been amazing.

Currently hitting the TSR4 in 10* with weight modifications and a 10x Ventus Black.
 

Had my GT fitting yesterday and found the GT3 at 9* to be a dynamite combo, more simplistic to achieve same results again and again.  Was able to have my fitter drop in two weights into the sole to beef up overall head weight to achieve specific feel.  
 

That was the extent of the driver fitting after working through the entire offering of GT2, GT3 and GT4 to end up back at the GT3 as stated above.

 

I was most impressed with the fairway wood fitting!!  Feel like I can hit any shot with my GT2 13.5* that will be coming!!  So consistent and easy to produce same shot time and time again!!
