watched it ... thoroughly enjoyed it ... seve was my favorite growing up ... really enjoyed the history of the tournament and the story they presented ...

I thought this was about a new Bryan Adams song.

I enjoyed it, but I've seen the Seve movie and didn't need 10 minutes of it in this show. Would have enjoyed more actual golf shots and context from the rounds at The Open, but it's an hour show and have to appeal to broader audience. Just left me wanting more Seve and Miller. Summer of '76 one of my favorite summers ever, so the nostalgia was nice but not much of a bicentennial or other connection to that year as far as The Open was concerned. Good stuff on some of the old timers, more would have been nice.

Roger Maltbie shots and Clyde Frazier worth the watch.

I watched the show and it reminded me how companies like Slazenger and Dunlop were such big brands in both golf and tennis...even Miller's white belts have come full circle and back in style

Hogan and Nelson would destroy these guys with the new Wilson Staff ball.

Was really good and having being born in the 70's loved seeing the actual swing types and video footage! Will watch again.

This was way better than I expected. I'm stunned they had the creativity and energy to get Peter Frampton! He looks just like Niles Crane from Frasier now.

I 2nd this... Kessler was the best they had and would be better than any current personality on the channel

It was well done. I loved the vibe of it. The dramatic "vintage" scenes were done extremely well and fit into the era perfectly. What I wish is that they showed more golf. It could have been two hours with a bit more golf.

He would have been great as a narrator for it.

Very well done! Didn't realize how fit Johnny was in his prime!

Could've showed more golf of the final round and much much less of KC and the Sunshine band. We got enough of the history/nostalgia in the first 20 minutes. Also agree with the Seve movie clips. Just show the real stuff!

Great documentary.... GC needs more of these. After all,the great attraction of golf is it's history ( except the over done Jack and Arnie stories).

Very well done. I wonder if it will be rebroadcast? It made me get out our wedding photos from 1976. Yep the same look :) I think it was later on Live From The Open that they showed a pic of Rich Lerner sporting an Afro, big tie and Polyester jacket. Fun times.

And to think he was so damn accurate with those old Mac TA Stainless Steel 915s during his MacGregor years. Imagine if he hadn't switched to those Wilson and Spalding irons???
